We have a kicker problem. His 6 misses between 30 and 49 yards led the league last year. A game and a half in and he already has another one, and there is nothing from the preseason to suggest there won't be more.
At least these receivers are able to get open down field... That's encouraging. Mistakes have been made, but Brady hasn't exactly been on top of his game either.
If Tommy doesn't chill the hell out, he's going to start reminding me of Marino towards the tail end of his career. Just perpetually pissed off which didn't do his new teammates any favors (Jimmy Johnson trying to make him a precision QB didn't help, either).
That's true, as mush as he's upset with the receivers, he could have thrown the deep passes a little better. He made it tougher on both Thompkins and Dobson.
1. It's a team building philosophy trying to fit in under the salary cap. You sacrifice certain aspects to get better in others. The end result is usually a very competitive team around here.
2. You'll be glad in the next couple/few yrs when lots of other teams are screwed and we're able to retain key players and continue to stay a winner in the future.
3. I don't think we can blame Belichick for Gronkowski, Vereen, and Amendola being injured at the moment. Edelman looks fine in the slot. Once these rookies get on the same page and we get a player or two back things will look much different.
My gripe is the current state of the running game, which needs to step it up.
I think that the fact that we SHOULD BE UP by about 14-21 more points has most folks a little frustrated...but u are right...we are still winning...right now...
QUOTE=PatriotsInGA;3555252]Do people forget that the Pats are winning this game? They played like **** and still have a lead. This team could easily be up something along the lines of 27-3, but they aren't. Imagine how good they'll be when they hit on all cylinders. This is still only the second week of season. This is still only the second game for some rookies and the first for Dobson! Just give it time people[/QUOTE]

He has missed a couple of wide open WRs too but overall Iam disappointed they havent tried to establish the run . 12 of 24 passes to edelman is not going to win you much and you need to take adv of changes and interceptions.
LAST year we had weapons on offense. This year we don't. It doesn't make us whiny to point out that a team who will be LUCKY to squeak by with wins against the pathetic Bills and Jets (and their rookie QBs) will not fare well against good teams. The front office better do something before Tom has a stroke out there.
The second game was a loss to the cardinals whom ended the season 4-12. So those weapons didn't do us any good in this game. Wait till November before you pass judgement on this O. They need time.

Hey give Tom a break too. When was the last time he had to deal with so many rookie WR's? He looks to me like at least he's now going to target them and give them chances to make mistakes. So what if he scolds them though? He should. You let the make the mistake, but don't make them think it's ok to make the mistake. That leads to complacency.
This is new for everyone. Kind of fun to watch too.
