I honestly don't see how anyone could watch this game and think Manning had a better performance than Brady. 3 INTs says hello. WTF are these talking heads thinking?

It's because Brady doesn't make dumb-ass mistakes to put his team in the hole, and so by being deadly effective in the beginning of the game he doesn't need to throw the ball 55 times and put up huge numbers to give his team a fighting chance. That amounts to him throwing for 186 yards, and having a pretty much flawless game accuracy-wise, but he didn't throw 400 yards and 4 TDs to lead a furious comeback, so he doesn't get the accolades. The thing is, he didn't need to do that because he put his team in a great position to win the game.

C'mon really? These guys success can be attributed to playing for Peyton Manning. You think Austin Collie or Pierre Garcon are going to be nearly as effective on any other team except maybe the Pats? And to include Brown and Tamme in there is just absolutely silly.

I get you're upset that Brady doesn't get more credit, but you really can't deny that Manning makes these guys into what they are. It's even more impressive when you take into account that Manning is basically running the offense by himself, takes a massive role in directing practices, and takes guys on individually in the off season to help develop them.

You denying him that fact is just as silly as anyone who says the young guys on NE don't more or less owe most if not all of their success to playing for Brady/Bellichick.
I don't think it has anything to do with the praise Manning gets. But Brady has done more with even less and doesn't get nearly the same credit Manning does. Reggie Wayne is a HOF wr and Manning had Harrison before that. The only HOF caliber wr Brady ever had was Moss and Brady's most success came before Moss was ever on the scene. And now without Moss, Brady also has a bunch of no name guys he's throwing to.

Uhhhhh NO If you win, you don't collapse

Thanks for the idiot speak. I guess green could be yellow if yellow didn't collapse. A horse could be a zebra if it didn't become a horse?

They dominated, let the other team back in and made a play to win.

Seriously, many here just want to be miserable.

You have a team that's 9-2 has beaten the 4 elite teams in the conference with rookies and complain about not being "contenders" or idiot talk of a "collapse" in a VICTORY.

"let the other team back in" (from 17 points DOWN in the 4th qtr)

Dude....be realistic here ok.....it was a COLLAPSE by our defense......luckily it did NOT result in a loss. Not sure where you are going with the green is yellow if yellow is a zebra there Tony Robbins/Dr Phil......But call it like it is......Yes the team is 9-2 and they are a good overall team with a fair amount of inconsistencies on BOTH sides of the ball. I am happy with the win.....but another 4th qtr COLLAPSE....(there I said it again Tony!!!) is certainly a cause for concern. I am done with this post so will not be back again here.....good night and on to Detroit........Good night Dr. Phil........"Hey if Red is going to be black I don't want to associate myself with that kind of negativity.....Let me give you something to think about.....If I am a leopard and you take away my spots.....does that make me a.....LION?????? Jeezus...........

How the hell do you collapse in a win?

Ummm I think I get some of your points......but first and foremost.....HOW do you collapse in a win? By being up by 17 points in mid 4th quarter would seem to constitute that.....NO???!

Media IS GOING OVERBOARD over how Manning is greatest of all time...saying little about Pats and Brady DESPITE Manning losing and throwing last minute pick.....Yes, in my opinion the ballwashing and excuses made of Manning even when he LOSES against the Pats....is annoying.....

Our defense WILL Be our achilles heel this year......some games (see Pitt) they will play lights out and give us an indication of what it will be like when they play nearly EVERY GAME like this.....other games it will seem like it is the first time playing together or their first game in the pro's........just going to be inconsistent......

Just have to know what you are in for this year and that is inconsistency......
So winning doesnt matter, you would rather have the media not say good things about Manning?
Who cares? There are 2 results. W or L.
The way this game was coached resulted in a W.
I do not know why we would have wanted it coached differently. Perhaps if BBs concern was what the media says about Manning, he would have gotten aggressive, and risked quick scores and lost. That risk is not worth the hollow potential reward you seem to be valuing so heavily.

Re: When I Seize Supreme Executive Power...

When I Seize Supreme Executive Power...

The first thing I'm going to do is ban prevent defense and prevent offense...by any entity based in New England.

The denizens of the other 44 states may do as they please.

60 minutes, Bill.

60...minutes

I'll have to go back and re-watch, but I saw neither a prevent offense nor a prevent defense today. That other team has a pretty good offense, and unfortunately the Pats defense is mediocre this year. Just because the Pats don't blitz every down that does not equal a 'prevent defense'.

As for the other side of the ball, if they were in a 'prevent offense', how do you explain the passes leading up to the Graham FG, or throwing on 1st down and 3rd & 4 on the next possession?

Besides, as Andy Johnson said: the play call decisions resulted in a win.

Great game to watch, and a tremendous coaching job. The staff was able to protect that pass defense for the vast majority of the game.

Also, Kudos to Brady and the offense for an excellent game.

Okay ... so if I get a vote i say Brady gets every Wednesday off for the rest of the season.

First off you've got to appreciate back to back wins over the Steelers and Colts, no matter how this looked. Say what you want about the Colts but they are still one of the toughest in the league to beat.

That said, I'm very disappointed in the defense this week. The real negative here is that we have taken a step backwards after it seemed to be coming along. We were playing better in the red zone this year and then this week all their scores are TD's. That can't happen against a good team. Little pressure aside from 2 of the picks, and horrible horrible tackling at key moments. Right before halftime, there was no excuse for giving up a TD in that situation. But they let Wayne run through the defense like he has a gun in his hand. No excuse for that TD, we should've been up 21-10 going into half. This game should NOT HAVE BEEN CLOSE given how our offense played the first 3 quarters.

And the last 10 minutes were managed just horribly on both sides of the ball. A couple times where Brady snapped the ball with 10 seconds or so on the play clock Defense gives up way too easy of a TD when it was 31-14, I think that drive only took about 3 minutes off the clock. Just horribly managed. We really got lucky on a great play by Cunningham/Sanders. Major cause for concern that our offense has struggled in 2 of these situations already (SD and today). Imagine in the playoffs having to close out a game, how confident are you gonna be?

Edelman is trying to unseat Butler for biggest disappointment of the year. He's been completely useless.

I think the Pats have as good a chance as any team to go far this year.

With that caveat, I really hope we are able to find a stud DE in the draft this offseason. Imagine how great this team could be with a player that could provide a consistent pass rush.

Aint buying the lucky thing.

Anyone think if the roles were reversed and Brady throws a pick at the end Colts fans would be talking about luck?

Colts got lucky last season with a BS PI on Butler and a Bad spot on the faulk catch to win.
Colts where lucky the Pats offense went into a shell!

Nothing lucky about the Pats win.

Pick was a direct result of a great play by Cunningham.

I am still trying to catch my breath like others on this board. I dont want to see the Colts again...hopefully someone else will take care of em. We may beat them again, but man...do our hearts and life span shorten quite a few years after each gm with them

The pass rush drove me bonkers.....TBC needs to wrap up Manning on that 1st quarter play--that missed sack bugged the heck out of me all afternoon...Amazing play by Peyton...a miracle rollout to the right side of the field and then an off balance diagonal pass to the far left side of the field to a streaking Donald Brown.

Some players not mentioned who deserve mentioning.

Matt Light ... had an excellent game.

Sebastian Vollmer ... had an excellent game.

Gary Guyton ... 9 tackles ... 2nd on team for game.

Deion Branch had 7 catches for 70 yards ... announcers barely mentioned his name.

Sammy Morris
made some key blocks only had 2 carries.

Ron Brace ... had a very strong game.

So the Pats completely manhandle two completely disparate but equally effective offenses for three quaters before allowing fourth quarter garbage stats yet log two wins and you are unhappy?

What would satisfy you and other discontented fans of this 8-2 team? Alternately, what team is performing better than NE that you wish they would emulate? Perhaps the NYJ that for the last three weeks have needed OT or every second of regulation to defeat three sub-.500 teams?

Shane Graham was good on KO's that was a concern for many before today. And hit all his kicks even though they were all easy.

No bad snaps either, that was nice.

Props to the entire O-line, really. Even with Neal out, that group was tremendous for most of the game.
