So I'm hoping that the reason Gates hasn't been targeted once is because he is getting covered well. That was a big concern for most people coming into the game.

Unfortunately, they don't need him because the WR are getting really good separation on every other play and Rivers is too good a QB to let that happen. That is probably part on our DBs and part is because their WR are good.

They aren't letting him off the line.

And that Wilfork play was incredible, designed for him to cover the flat against the RB. Brilliant play.

Ridiculous example of situational football on the Patriots part --- although WTF were the Chargers doing in clogging the middle and conceding the sidelines on both plays to Branch.
