How many RB's will the Pats carry?

They'll have 4 for sure: Ridley, Vereen, Woodhead, BJGE. What about Faulk and Morris?

Ridley has a really nice burst. Definately an advantage over BJGE in that department.

Not to denigrate Ridley, but I suggest people reserve final judgment until the kid faces 1st team defenses.

On the outcome of his runs, definitely. Yardage doesn't mean much against scrubs. But on his ability to pluck receptions in stride, and the way he runs low, churning his feet and making himself hard to tackle? That I feel genuinely encouraged by.

Ridley should get some tim against starters next week.

Edit: thats why ...

Damn it Ridley. I was just singing your praises.

Does Ridley remind anybody else of Mark Ingram? Both powerful runners whose greatest strengths are outstanding balance and non-stop feet, making them hard to tackle. Both are active in blitz pickup and have soft hands for the reception. Neither has any breakaway speed.

But of course, the Saints gave the Patriots a 1st & a 2nd for the chance to take Ingram, and we Pats Fans all screamed when they spent a 3rd on Ridley.

Ingram is better, his draft position says so... and he doesn't fumble.

Agreed. Benny runs like he's wading through molasses. He's not long for this league.

I'm finally going to get the see the defense . . . they should be well rested at this point.

He just got the 3 guy pile drive and coughed it up. Still like what I see so far out of him..

You mean like last week!

If you think J-Ville was playing like a first team defense, we'll have to disagree.

The kid just put the ball on the ground, almost as if on cue.

People are just getting overexcited about a pair of exhibition games, that's all.

Small observation but McCourty has had a couple of blunders today...

Ridley is a beast, Ridley is amazing, Ridley is a monster, Ridley.... uhhh.. damn.

McCourty has not played well tonight.

Yup, right there with you.... We know what this offense will do. It's D I'm interested in.

PI on 32. Must be Butler!

Here come the officials working the Bucs back into the game for the "feel good" value.

Great play by Arrington.
