I think KC reached for Jackson. He's not a top 5 player IMHO. But they obviously couldn't get someone to give adequate value to trade down, and they preferred a true 3-4 DE over a more talented player like Curry who didn't fit as well, at a position of less value.

If it weren't Scott Pioli I would be all against this. But I have to assume Pioli knows what he is doing.

He took his best shot at versions of Tom Brady (Cassell) and Richard Seymour (Jackson) .

Great trade for the Jets - 17 + 52 plus a bunch of throw-ins.

well most USC QB's have been good. leinhart is an unknown.
Frankly i think this a good move by the jets to with their improved Defense.it could like a flacco thing last yr.

I don't like the Jests but if Sanchez is 90% of what they project him to be he is well worth it. I think they're expecting Matt Cassell ++ but I think they are wrong. More like Leinert minus.

Good trade for the Jets I think. Elam and Coleman are decent depth type players, but losing them isn't really gonna knock them back.
