I'm assuming the Browns didn't just draft the guy who did The Breakfast Club

The Browns gets the guy who brought us the Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Sixteen Candles. Excellent selection. Movie night for the team will be fun.

Sean Spence to the steelers as a LB... bench pressed ummmm 14 times..

So just because Wheatley didn't pan out that means Wilson will follow the same path?

Agreed, totally different situation. Wheatley was highly regarded but downgraded as a prospect due to injury risk.

There was better VALUE on the draft board for defensive tackles and cornerbacks.

Wilson is reported to be ace gunner. That makes Slater potentially expendable. It doesn't mean it will, just that it's possible.

So we used pick 48 to replace the leagues best ST player. I know when I've been beat

Damn you! You beat me to the John Hughes jokes. My fault for wasting time going to IMDB to look up John Hughes' filmography.

What's going on with Brandon Thompson?

Give me Juron Criner at 90 and I'll be happy

I certainly hope Tavon Wilson is better than Sergio Brown.
That's setting the bar low.

I think most SEC teams have better safeties than Sergio Brown, who should not be on this team. He's a liability in every capacity.

Tavon Wilson over Casey Hayward? It boggles the mind.

You have to admire Belichick... he truly doesn't give a damn what anyone else thinks

BB's response to his draft critics...

Jesus......Wilson's father was shot when he was one. His mother drowned not long after. What a tough child hood

I'm thinking the Pats go Vontaze Burfict at 90 ........after Wilson who can really think its out of the question.

I'm starting to feel like this was a very top-heavy draft.

If you seriously want to play the game that you know what I am trying to say better than I do, you will have to play with yourself.

I totally agree that the argument you are arguing against is stupid. However, it is simply one you created, not one I made.
NOW let it die, and prove you can one time not need the last word.

You're still just as much you as you were before, I see. Well, back to ignore with you, because I'm not going to waste my time with your inability to admit such an obvious screwup as the one you made here.

Try again next year.

The last time Bill Belichick reached this far in the second round, the player selected was Terrence Wheatley in the 2008 NFL Draft.

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=12067&draftyear=2008&genpos=CB

So please defend that second round draft selection from the 2008 NFL Draft especially since the player is no longer on the New England Patriots roster.

At least Wheatley ran a 4.38 and was rated lower due to injury. One could squint and somewhat justify the pick. He actually had upside (and played well as a rookie).

Pats have usually had large numbers of draft picks but very few spots to make the team becuase of how good they've been.

This draft the Pats have done what we've wanted trade up and give up quanity for quality.

I'm happy regardless of the 2nd rd pick,the 3rd or 5th..
Two quality guys added to our D in the 1st is enough to me.

Quality over Quanity on a SB team sounds good to me

Rob Kraft is on the phone with the pick right now as we speak according to Twitter..
