Yes I ranted like a girl that it was a terrible pick. He's now one of my favorite Pats.

If history is any indication, a majority of us don't know what we're talking about.

Solder pick. ugh not to happy. I know he has huge upside since hes 6-8. I thought we might go ot at 17 but i thought it was gonna be sherrod or even carimi. I think solder is just too damn tall. All i can do is hope for the best I guess.

Oh no, last year's *****ing was waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse, especially since half the board was frustrated by the constant trade downs, and all the times they passed on everyone's binkies.

We always knew that Best Tackle Available was a possibility for months. Most judged that Costanzo was Belichick's choice. Solder is certainly a fine choice. Obviously, many of us would have preferred Amukamara or Jordan. But if we need a LT for 2011 or 2012, then we do.

The team had a need. I just thought they'd deal with it next year. Given that Pouncey was taken, I don't hate the pick, or anything, but I'm not going to do cartwheels over a developmental tackle at this point.

To put things in perspective on Solder, Curran mentions in the article that Pro Football Weekly's Nolan Nawrocki notes that, on 1,400 career pass plays, he allowed five sacks and 21 pressures.

Define "developmental". Isn't every single player who is drafted "developmental"? In which way is Solder different from other tackles?
