He has speed and athletic ability, but he is way over-drafted here.
He's a converted safety who looked like a late-round pick. Strange move.

Reportedly there is more to the story of that first round pick that was 'passed' on by the Ravens.

NFL.com news: Bears sorry for trade mess, but Ravens reportedly want a pick

The NFL confirmed Friday that it's looking into the situation, which happened Thursday night after the Ravens told the league they had agreed to send the 26th pick to the Bears in exchange for the 29th selection and a fourth-rounder (127th overall). However, Chicago didn't confirm the trade to the league in time, forcing Baltimore to fall back in the draft order.

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti was mad about the faux pas, and he told the Bears and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as much, the Tribune reported, citing sources.

Bears general manager Jerry Angelo took blame for the situation, calling it a "glitch."


Ironically both teams still ended up getting the players they wanted - Baltimore getting CB Jimmy Smith and Chicago getting T Gabe Carimi.

And even odder is the fact that this is not the first time Ozzie Newsome and Baltimore have been in this situation. The same thing happened in 2003 when a trade with the Vikings did not go through in time and the Ravens slipped from a #7 pick to a #9 pick when two other teams quickly got their picks in ahead of Baltimore.

Roy Helu is a solid pickup for the Redskins. Shanahan has done a great job picking up picks in this draft.

Man, a lot of teams having really good drafts so far. The Chiefs taking Jalil Brown is another good pick for them. Still a lot of good players on the board though. Ideally Romeus at 5a and Tolliver or Deunta Williams at 5b, with maybe Herzlich or Cannon in the 6th.

Let me tell you, the Colts got a very underrated RB in Delonte Carter. I think the kid is going to be good in the NFL.

Man, a lot of teams having really good drafts so far. The Chiefs taking Jalil Brown is another good pick for them. Still a lot of good players on the board though. Ideally Romeus at 5a and Tolliver or Deunta Williams at 5b, with maybe Herzlich or Cannon in the 6th.

Houston and Washington in particular. i think however that the Lions are the stars so far: Nick Fairley, Titus young and Mikel Leshoure (although they need CBs).
