The Matt Cassel Fan Club - What is your membership level?

The Matt Cassel fan club is taking memberships applications.

There are several levels:

Charter member. This is the highest level of membership. In order to be considered a charter member you must have done one or more of the following:

1) Defended Cassel's performance in the pre season;
2) Predicted he would make the team; or
3) Defended his making the team prior to the KC kick off.

President's Gold Club - May have doubted Cassel in preseason, but after watching Cassel lead the team to victory of KC are convinced BB made the right choice.

Visitor - Still unsure and need to see one or more games before committing to Cassel.

Hater - Wants BB to acquire a Vet. You are not allowed to join, GFY.

Those who are currently visitors will have the right to upgrade to President's Silver Club any time between the end of the Jets game and the kick off of the Dolphins game, visitors will also then be able to upgrade to Bronze after the Dolphin's game and up to week 8. After week 8 only general membership applications will be accepted.

He's on the best team in the NFL. He'll be better than fine.

Living out of town, I didn't get to see much of the pre season games, other than the Ravens game. And that was through the lens of the local media in Maryland. Cassel didn't look to good, but then again, I can't be sure of anything in regards to pre season player evaluation.....

I thought he played great on Sunday, and was an immediate supporter when he hit Moss from our endzone on 3rd and long.

No charter membership for me. I was down on Cassel before Game #1.

See my figuring is that BB & SP know what they are doing..........amazing assumption isn't.

If for some reason Cassel cannot apply all that he knows and has showed so far to be in this position, then and only then will management make a change.

I think Matt will be serviceable to start and hope to see improvement week by week. If he can stay above 500 and improve each week we should be happy, please keep in mind this is the NFL and it takes time (journeyman or disgruntled QB would take even lnger and do worse IMHO).

If he can do that, with the talent on this team, we will FINISH the season in the playoffs and may even have some decent success there, perhaps more than we can imagine. That kind of success will depend on the entire team staying healthy and getting its share of good fortune along the way.

Fourthly... they'll sell a bunch so why not. A buck is a buck.

Said "charter" by mistake, because the poll is before the choices. I didn't defend Cassel in the preseason but didn't go after him either.

Anyhoo, comment #2, I believe, is exactly my feeling. He's our quarterback, and that makes me a rabid Cassel fan.

I'm not a charter member by any means. But I am taking a quiet hopeful approach in his quick development over the next few weeks. I think we all have alot riding on this kid so whether you like the guy or not, everyone has something at stake here. I would consider most fans a visitor. You can say you are a charter member all the way. Sure thing boss. But if this guy blows chunks over the next few weeks? We will see how quickly people will revoke that tag.

I do consider myself a Tom Brady platinum Fort Knoxx member though. He has earned all his dues and accolades.

Don't let that fence your sitting on leave any marks on your non committal butt.

Look at the evidence and make a decision. I went with figuring BB & SP knew more than I did when he was named the #2 after pre-season. That kind of evidence sealed it for me.

I would have loved to have seen your comments after Bledsoe went down about Brady.
