The Mahomes/Chiefs Discussion Thread

When QBs throw on the run, no one has time to set their feet and have proper mechanics.

And who is Burrows? If you are talking about Burrow, at least get the name right. The guy already missed time due to ACL tear, which is way worse than any injury Mahomes has had. And he hasn't even cracked 40 TDs once in his career. Mahomes has done in twice and came close another two times.

I don't know man I'm a professional KC hater and would love for them to fail, but Mahomes is the best QB in the game today and might be for a while. Maybe Burrow has a case, but he couldn't get it done when the Bengals D allowed only 23 points. The AFC is stacked with great young QBs, but KC is always there in the final four.
I was talking longevity not Mahomes currently. He is the guy to beat right now for sure. But the AFC is stacked - Allen, Burrows, Lawrence, etc.

Mahomes might play 8 or 9 more years. He tends to get hurt even when he is not hit hard. His game relies on him running around because he does nto really read the defense well pre snap, so his game is run around until his TE who is always open is free, then spin dump a 4 yard pass that goes for 40 and then the media freaks out and says nobody can do that...That is not the type of style that lasts long in the NFL.

Wait, what the ****?

MAC10 literally admitted he's been a Chiefs troll pretending to be a Pats fan this whole time, derailed threads for years on here and now has changes his name, openly trolling and Ian has still not banned?

Most embarrassing thing I've ever seen on this forum.

It’s incredibly confusing.

So the guy who has a much better touchdown/INT ratio than Brady in both the regular season and playoffs now can't read defenses? No, Mahomes runs because he has the ability to. Brady did not. And that shows in both his INTs and sacks - Brady leads the NFL in most sacks and has most iNTs in the playoffs. And where would Brady be without Ernie Adams early in his career in helping him "read defenses"...

Ernie Adams was on the field?

Kermit is 0-2 vs Brady when it matters. For this reason Kermit will never be the greatest of all time. It's done. It's ovah.

Doesn’t believe a word he’s saying. Just a desperate argument made by someone still broken and triggered that the greatest QB that ever existed in NFL history Tom Brady left the Patriots and singlehandedly led a 7-9 team to a Super Bowl win the following year...and the Patriots with the same HC have been just another team ever since he left. Imagine actually getting triggered so much it breaks you like that. LMAO.

Right, his rise just happen to coincide with Ernie Adams being there...LMAO

What a play by Kermit! Nobody can do this only Kermit can.

Some of Tommy's greatest hits...

Kelce can't block like Kittle either but he's better than him too. Look, if Kelce retired right now, then Gronk is the GOAT TE. Gronk would have an even stronger case if injuries hadn't bludgeoned his career, or he hadn't taken a season off at age 30, or retired at age 32. Kelce is 33, with no decline at all, and he's never been injured in his career. He currently plays with the best QB and HC in the NFL so he's in a great spot for another 2-3 seasons. When it's all said and done, Kelce will be considered the GOAT TE, and probably by a comfortable margin.
Kelce doesn't block... period. Maybe that's why he doesn't miss games and it's definitely why he's not the GOAT at TE.

If you're the owner of a football team and you can have either Kelce or Gronk, and you take Kelce, you should be measured for a straight jacket.

Thank God someone finally talked about the top QBs in the AFC and didn't list the RB playing QB as one of them. I'm thinking that Rodgers and Herbert are part of the etc. ;)

Gronk in his peak form is better than Kelce at his best. The problem for Gronk is he was in less than peak form as much as peak form. Kelce is at his best all the time. For a game, or a single season, either player at their optimum level, I'm taking Gronk 100% of the time. When it's all said and done however, Kelce will be viewed as having had the better career and as the GOAT TE.

I prefer:

That was the game where Kermit was shut out in the first half right?

Imagine getting shut out in a half of conference championship game in your own house with all that talent on offense. Yikes! Maybe if Kermit wasn't shook by the presence of the GOAT and played better that game would have never gone to OT.

No, it was more like Bill's defense that did a good job against him. Perhaps if the Chiefs had Ernie Adams the outcome would have been different...
