You said that in the AFCE Revis had 6 games vs below average QBs.

So you think I ment Tom? after I said hes the only good QB in your conference?
and pointed out TB? Ok my fault. sorry, but weird

There was a ? at the end of the sentence.
You said he was in a division with the Bills, Phins and Patriots so he played 6 games vs below average QBs. Therefore I asked if that was what you were saying.

Im done with it Andy, no disrepect, but I think its obvious. Sorry for the confusion. My fault

I think we are picking nits here. I think the OP had it right. Even when he was playing mostly man coverage and healthy, Revis RARELY if ever went one on one with the slot receiver (ie Welker). So to think that Revis playing in Schiano's zone heavy defense is going to shadow our current slot guy (Edelman) is pretty stupid and SHOULD make one wonder about the football IQ of the person who made the statement.

I think Revis is gong to play more man defense tomorrow. He will probably be assigned the outside receiver to his side (Thompkins pr Dobson) so that the rest of the defense can concentrate on other receivers. This would allow the Bucs to double Edelman most of the time with a nickle back and cheating S in the "robber position"

I'm thinking that the best match up for the Pats are going to come from throwing to the TE's and RBs. BTW- I wouldn't expect much of an improvement from the Pats pass offense. This secondary held the best passing attack in the league to SIXTEEN points. The good new is that the Saints very questionable defense held the Bucs to 14 and just 150 yds passing. This might be the time to be going with the under.

I'm just looking for improvement from the rookie WR's. Anyone looking for some kind of "
"breakout game" or quantum leap in performance is going to be sorely disappointed. Just be better than the last game., is all I ask. IMHO this game needs to be won because of the OL and RBs

If you aren't expecting much improvement at all from a team that punted 11 times and picked up 9 first downs against a suspect NYJ secondary, then we may very well be in big trouble tomorrow afternoon.

As you've noted, TB has a pretty decent defense. They currently lead the NFL in sacks, in red zone efficiency (holding Brees to a 0/4 conversion rate), and make it difficult to run and throw against.

In my opinion, we are going to need to see some defined improvement in the passing game in order to win this game.

You all will be OK, Revis isn't the old Revis and Tampa is disorganized and demoralized.

While their D looks really good (just what we do not need right now), the hope is that we get up early on them and hope they lay down.

I don't know how things will play out the rest of the way, but I think there may be some haste in burying Revis at this point. The man has played in just two games since blowing his knee. We all know there's a mental as well a physical element to coming back from that sort of injury. We may be becoming conditioned to believe that everyone should do what AP did, and that's not realistic, imho. Look at RG3's struggles. Some players need more time to return to top form. I think Revis will be okay, as he seems to have a strong work ethic (based on everything I've read). And as a football fanatic, I hope he does return to form. That can only be good for the game that we all love.
