Did you all know that plans have ot be diverted away from the New "jets" stadum they are afraid of it massive amount of sucking bringing down the plane

This is accually the second (that we know of) mass amount of suck the "first" batch was sent to the Atlantic which explains the Bermuda Triangle

Right on, and understood- personally, if he can come here and talk about football rationally, then I think he'll be fine. He has to accept, though, that Pats fans will speak poorly of the Jets. That's just reality, and that's what every fan has to get used to if they're going to post somewhere else. When I post on the Chiefs forums, I understand that I'm going to see people talking crap about the Pats, and I just ignore it. As long as Jets fans come here acting like it's their board, and getting all offended that we would dare to say even 10% of what they say about the Pats on their board, they'll continue to have problems. The ones that can get over it, like Gunnails, are welcome additions to the community.

You got flack? Doesn't look like you were getting any...at least from the first 25 or so from early November range...You got a decent reception and earned respect fast. I (and I am sure it is we all) hope you remain as a semi-regular contributor for your outside perspective

Don't leave because of his lack of character. If he returns he has to deal with his own sh!tstorm that he is responsible for creating. If he can't be civil and take the thread as a long-running joke that it is then that is his own problem. If he can't discuss his team as being anything other than superior to every other team then that is his problem. If he can't take a couple of loudmouth fans(and they are the only two who were upfront about being loudmouth fans) making jokes at the Jets' expense in every thread then that is his problem.

But to leave because he can't handle it is a crime. You shouldn't leave because of someone else's character problem.

I thought of you and Tunescribe when I posted...I am sure there is probably one more but you two were the roughest but you guys also saw right through him from the start. There isn't a need to apologize, you guys were blunt about what this thread was about and you reacted to him after his own bad start.

He certainly would have earned my respect had he simply accepted my challenge to debate and refute the evidence provided here about how and why the Green Beans suck. Each time he responded with personal insults, that this thread exists because we're afraid of his team, :blahblah::blahblah:, always sidestepping the issue. He somehow convinced himself that "Jets Suck" means we think his team cannot be competitive with the Patriots. That's not the case, at least in my opinion, which I explained to him. Their organizational philosophy and fan base are what suck most, along with the way many on their team behave as individuals, coach and several players included. It's a low-class franchise run by a spineless idiot of an owner and a spineless goofball GM.

I'm always up for rational discussion with fans of other teams if they behave rationally. That guy wasn't willing to carry his own water.

Right, you guys remained rational until he started to be swarmy and you responded tit for tat with him. You guys stated your reasons why they were a bad team, why the coach was a bad coach, why the front office was a bad front office- he didn't want to hear anything that went against his homeristic views. Simply put his own ego rubbed people the wrong way.

Some people simply don't get the joke, some people just don't want reality, and some people want to blame someone else for their own actions.


And to state for millionth time- the Jets suck.

Well I definitely hope you don't leave, we all enjoy your posts a lot and definitely like having you as part of our community. Not quite sure what you're asking though, to be totally honest. People will be treated how they deserve, and if they conduct themselves well like you did, they'll be welcomed here. I didn't think you got a whole lot of flak when you signed up here, but if you say you did then I'm sure it happened- I'm sure the board can take a whole different tone when you're not a fan of the home team.

My only issue with the crop of Jets fans that came over recently is that they came to a Pats board apparently thinking that it was a Jets board. If they want to have civil discussion, for the most part we're up for that. Most of us think drama is stupid and just want to talk football, and specifically the Pats. People who can't handle the perspectives of Pats fans without resorting to spygate jokes probably shouldn't come here. Nothing against them personally, but it is what it is. I'm not going to go over to JetsInsider and get pissed that they don't like the Pats over there, because what else would I expect? Likewise, over at BlackandGold.com, most of the Saints fans clearly don't like the Pats, but that's totally fine. If I was going to start an account over there, I would go in understanding that, and I certainly wouldn't expect everyone to change how they post on my account.

A couple of you guys (you for the Saints, workhorse for the Colts, Gunnails for the Jets) understand the whole guest dynamic, and we enjoy having you all around. If those other guys can take notes and learn from you, they'll be just fine.

I saw a couple of posts on here by him that seemed to contradict what he had said on our forum and I interpreted that as a double standard. I should have taken the time to look at all his posts (which I have since done) and realize he's not just telling you guys what you want to hear.

As for your forum and recent responses to his posts, you guys are in lala land. It's not just in your "Jets Suck" thread, its all over your forum. No matter where or what I post on this site, your hatred for the Jets is so crazy, you spew the same Patriot b/s over and over again. You guys aren't interested in a conversation about football, and you're certainly not interested in any other persons opinion. I love how you use Gunnails as an example of a Jet fan that can coexist here. By definition, that's anyone who puts up with your never ending ******ed posts. And it IS just this forum. I've been on the other Pats forums and they are not like this one. Even the Dolphins forums carry themselves better than you.

My mistake was in turning on a guy who just likes to talk football so much he doesn't limit himself to one forum or to a bunch of Saints fans all saying the same thing. That I apologized for here, and to him. But my opinion of you and this place hasn't changed. Actually it has, I take that back. At least on this forum, while your team remains classy, it's clear the only thing that sucks around here are some of the posters on this site.

Good luck clinging to your past SB's. You'll find after a couple of years of winning all that won't matter a lot. You're not going to win the division this year. Heck, even the Dolphins have a better shot than you. And to prove you can't talk football, heres my opinion on the Jets:

Look, I love the enthusiasm, but let's not get caught up in the hype. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered in my opinion.

Is Shonne Greene going to be able to stay healthy. Lest you forget, this guy went down a lot last season
Is LT going to be able to do what Thomas Jones did. You might say he won't have to but what gives you supreme confidence that Shonne Greene will stay healthy or that he can go an entire season as out number one guy.
Will Kris Jenkins stay healthy. The last couple of seasons have to make you wonder about this.
Will Mark Sanchez lead the league again in INT's. In camp so far he has been below 50% for completions a lot more than you know. He's hardly a veteran with a lot to prove.
Revis, I don't even have to get in to this.

So far, the question marks still out weigh the questions answered. Granted there are some things to get excited about. Gholston is beginning to emerge, Edwards and Cromartie are having a great camp, Conner is turning out to be a beast of a FB, Holmes will definitely be a weapon for us. But don't put the horse before the cart here. We've made a lot of changes to the roster of a team who only last season was one game away from the SB. Some times those changes take a while to take effect. I'm optimistic, but realistic.

This is what I've said here from the beginning. I tried to exert my belief that I'm not a kool aid drinker. I tried to be balanced in my analysis of the Jets. I'm not supremely confident in their chances. But I'm very optimistic. Its the best chance we've had in a long time. And the best part, no matter what you guys think, I like Ryan. He's an excellent defensive mind. He doesn't have to be a great offensive one, that's what Shotty is for. If I could fault Shotty for anything, it would be for his conservative play calling. He seemed to shed near the end of last season so here's hoping I see more from him.

I mean really this thread was started in Jest to kill time in the doldrums of the off season to crack a few jokes and once in a while do so analizying and genuine football disscussion. It turned into high school. Lets get it back to what it started as and if jets fans want to come here to this thread and say the pats suck and be able to take that we will say that you suck and have fun with then come on lets get it done
