So you ask me to give you a compelling reason why I think the Jets would not be 0-1 going into the Patriots game. I give you gold and get nothing.
that WAS a pretty in depth answer, so I'll make a couple points on that just so you didn't waste your time.
first of all, the jets had a good run d, but they were hardly invincible.
the first game, the pats put up about 80 yds on around 20 carries, which isn't great, but isn't horrible.
the titans ran almost 30x for 124 yards, new orleans 28x for 135 yds, miami 32x for 142, and even buffalo ran 34x while only coming away with 113 yards --- those were all jenkins games.
of those teams, only tennessee finished with a higher yds/att than baltimore.
as for only 2 guys going over 300 yards passing against the jets, I'm not sure that's much of an issue considering the fact that baltimore did it's damage last year with flacco only going over 300 3x over the course of the season, and 2 of those games were kc and cle --- I think he threw the ball 9x beating us in the playoffs.
meanwhile, your boy, dirty sanchez, failed to hit 300 even once throughout the year, reaching the the magical 200 barrier only 4x, or 5x if you count 19 games.
and if you think the jets have a good run d, baltimore ranked first in the entire league in rush yds/att against.
if the jets can't run, and can't count on sanchez, how will they score?
while you seem to think this baltimore d is soft against the pass, they ranked 8th in pass yards against, while giving up 150 yards to TOM BRADY in the playoffs and picking him off 3x.
good luck.
baltimore won't be giving you this on a forfeit.......
