A lot of good comments about the Bucs offense needing to have more PA, motions, less bombs, etc.

Though despite all of this, had they executed better (less WR/RB drops or missed open receivers by Tom), some of these games where they scored 30+ pts would've been blowouts. Hopefully they can clean up their act with 2 weeks to prepare like they did after their WK 13 bye. Last time Bucs played KC was coming off a MNF slugfest w/ the Rams.

Bucs should run right at KC. I believe that's their weakness. Bills hardly tried runs (27%) and Browns ran it 37% and had better success.

Bucs rushing:

Post Season: 45% for 115 ypg
Regular Season: 37% for 94.9 ypg

I doubt BA will be able to contain himself though having the GOAT and all those receivers.

It may be their weakness, but they won't have trouble defending it if they know it's coming. They'd get gashed if Tampa can establish a consistent short-mid passing game; that's when a team like KC will get barrelled over, while Tampa's run defense/Vea can still stop the run.

Though it wasn't frigid in Washington or Green Bay, Godwin seemed to have his worst hands in those games

I think the coaches will probably try to draw a play up for him if it comes to it... Don't they break Montana/Rice playoff TD record with 1 more? What better platform for an accomplishment like that than Super Bowl 55

The matchup favors Gronk as well and he ate them when they played

Re-watching on gamepass and the Bucs pass rush stood out considerably. They pressured Mahomes 24 times. Suh was a game wrecker.

The first quarter was one of the worst quarters by a team. Multiple three & outs & covering Tyreek Hill 1 v 1.

My main takeaway is as long as Bowles doesn't do anything stupid (mostly trusts his DL) they can hold them in the 20s.

Vea didnt play that game and he is without a doubt their best DL

mass in Fisher played that game and won’t this game I’m not sure if the other tackle that’s missing this game played. But this all adds up to Tampa’s defense being able to contain them just don’t lie pay cover 1.

And on offense make quick strikes to brate, Gronk, AB, and Godwin and they’ll stop blitzing b

Need Playoff Lennie to go off. Lennie's averaging 104 yds from scrimmage and 1 TD leading team in both.

As others have said, this is the key matchup in the game (Tampa's front 7 against KC's depleted O-Line). GB was down their Pro Bowl left tackle and got their butts kicked. They had a pretty good O-Line overall this year (Linsley was PFF's top rated center and the LG Jenkins is a ProBowler). KC is down their LT and their RT.

Mahomes is a magician and is better under pressure than most QB's are overall, but their offense seems to thrive on big/broken plays. Those take time to develop. I just don't see that he is going to have much time.

QBR is a stupid stat. It means nothing as they don't even tell you how they compile it. It is vague and a poor attempt at emulating PFF without putting in the work or having the data available for public viewing. All is does is attempt to give an air of legitimancy to whatever narrative they want to push. ESPN is tabloid sports reporting with no depth.
