Fitzpatrick is an excellent back up QB. He is an awful starting QB. Look at his history. He almost always looks great when he steps in for another QB who gets injured. It is when he plays more than half a season when he is exposed as horrible QB.

He's a great backup as long as he doesn't play. His career is over.

He's horrible.

Now that is the only way it make sense not to trade Garoppolo if other teams are offering multiple first rounders. There is no way that both Jimmy G and Brady will be on this roster in 2018.

That's the only logical explanation but still you could get a top 15 pick in 2018 if the texans suck. If the browns offered the texans 2018's first rounder.

everyone's saying these trade-ups were for 2 1st rounders, but it's really jusrd, that's 1 first rounder that you paid not 2. Comparing it to a JG trade would be 1 1st rounder plus whatever else is thrown in like a 3rd or 4th.

Jimmy has more value than any qb picked

I am responding to someone who believes teams have and that he believes that Schefter is right and Belichick won't trade Garoppolo for even four first rounders. I have no idea if anyone offered him that much.

I think the Pats were surprised by a lack of interest is the most likely explanation.
