The Jets have significantly improved, overall, on paper. If Milliner and Smith take second year leaps, NY will be the clear #1 challenger to the Patriots in the division, and they will have an excellent shot at making the playoffs.
Being the Jets, they'll still suck, because they're the Jets, but they could be a winning football team that's difficult to beat.
I don't know if the Jets have significantly improved. They are worse on defense. They may have one of the worst secondaries in the league and it sucked last year. They improved their #2 WR and their RB rotation and maybe their QB if Vick wins the starting job, can stay healthy, and hasn't declined even further from his several season skid. That is about it.
They will be in the mix for a Wild Card, but that is because the AFC sucks. They could be a tough team for the Pats to beat, but they usually are.
