The gift really does keep on giving.
Rex Ryan has been the head coach for the Jets for 5 drafts so far (including this year). In those drafts, he has drafted 3 d-linemen (Wilkerson, Coples, Richardson) and 2 CBs (Wilson, Miliner) in the first round and not a single player from any other area other than Sanchez.
If you count the two drafts prior to Ryan where they took a DE (Gholston) one year and a CB (Revis) the other, the Jets have used eight of their last nine first round picks on d-line or CB.
It's incomprehensible how little value they place on the offensive side of the ball.
You would think with drafting that many defensive players, they would have the best defense in the league. Not only does their offense suck, their defense is average.
I'm actually wondering if I can get my money back for my goddamn season tickets.
Why should we care? Belichick has proven enough times over the years that he can't draft worth a damn. Here Bill, have a few more picks on us. Please...
Except that the Vikings moved up from #52 in the draft, a late 2nd round pick, back into the first round, that is a haul.
Everybody crowning the Pats, the Pats now have no first round pick, and still have no 5th and 6th round pick.
They are astoundingly consistent at sucking.
