Had a panic moment earlier this week. My cable DVR box died, and wouldn't bring up anything but a 'retrieving guide info' box on the screen. I called tech support; they poked around with a few things from their end and then decided that the box was probably just bad, and would need to be replaced.

So why the panic? Well, on that DVR is my Pats/Jets recording from last Thanksgiving, complete with the Buttfumble. If I'm ever in a down mood, I can just replay the 2nd quarter of this game and I'm instantly in a better state of mind. I can find bits and pieces of the game on Youtube, but it's just not the same as watching my original recording.

Miraculously, when the tech arrived yesterday to replace my cable box, it had somehow started working again. He offered to replace it anyhow ("It's probably starting to go bad, might be on its last leg"), which I, of course, declined. I didn't bother trying to explain why I wanted the old unit - I'm in Vikings territory here; he probably wouldn't have understood.

So, happy ending for now, my cable service is back, and I can still watch the Jets suckage in beautiful HD. Life is (again) good!

Imagine walling in glee after an innocent has been murdered. A new low, even for those cretins. The morons actually believe this is the year that they, with Buttchez or Geno as their leader, will overtake the Pats. Seriously, is there a more ignorant or arrogant fan base in all of sport?
