This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

That's the best thing about August. Even the suckiest teams in the league think they have a shot...even the very suckiest.

and the Jets are still the very suckiest but I think thats what you were saying

Um .. when the Jets are below the Saints in every power ranking, and the Saints dont have a HC,Vilma, smith, meachem ,Vit, etc... thats just embarrassing

No one overlook them. Everyone knows exactly how much they will suck next season. Especially when the QB controversy is equal to the the movie Dumb and Dumber. Rex still dosnt understand you actually need a QB to have a QB controversy, lol.

Can't wait until Rex loses it and starts comfort eating and putting it all back on during the season, then at a presser reenacts the scene from "A Few Good Men" and lectures a reporter about standing a post in the NFL before asking his snot nosed questions, then gets baited about putting on weight until he barks out "Damn right I ordered the full rack o ribs!"

But then don't know what I'll do for entertainment after week 4 or so...

The rats being over looked Every time i pass bspn its jets this and jets that. Jets this and that. This morning it was live from jests camp, and it was live from jests camp saterday morning also. Someone started a thread about how the jests are everywhere, on tv on the radio, magazines etc. so how are they being over looked? They've one the pre season SB for sure.

What I really can't wait to see is the Tony Sparano meltdown in New York. I have absolutely no idea how these Jets fans can take this team and all of their constant stupidity.

Schottenheimer was the scapegoat for some very horrible personnel decisions on offense at the skill positions, starting with Sanchez. I guarantee you the problem was not Schottenheimer, and what's hilarious is that the players complained the playbook was "too complicated" and the Jets axed Schotty. You typically hear Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers whine that the playbook is "too complicated," don't you? And further, we see when teams bring in coordinators to make quarterbacks better- McDaniels couldn't fix the mess in St. Louis, Martz couldn't fix Cutler, etc. etc. ect., but great QBs could make Schotty look like a genius really fast.

I really believe the Jets are getting what they asked for- a guy who is as dumb as a box of bricks. He's a real players coach, a cheerleader who fires the team up and tells them how bad they need to beat the other team. Sparano was the O-Line coach in Dallas on teams that were notoriously horrible on the O-Line. In Miami, he installed the gimmicky Wildcat offense, failed to adapt, and went to playing a 1940s style of football, failing miserably to put forward a respectable offense.

The Jets are attempting to boost the offense by confidence, smoke, and mirrors. The addition of Tebow and talk about putting Cromartie at receiver tell me that they are looking to do something bold. They will probably run a few trick plays to start the season, but as it wears on, the tired playcalling of Sparano and the suckitude of Sanchez will completely expose this offense as one of the worst in the NFL. I predict Sparano is gone really fast, as the Sanchez defenders will cry even louder than they did at Schotty. I'm hoping that Sanchez plays in that city for the next 15 years.

NY Jets - Landry isn't scared of Gronk/AH

Yeremiah Bell and Laron Landry? Oh noes!

Mr. Roids will probably break his ankle on the first time he has to cover #81.

most of you guys out there know what it means when somebody says "I'm not scared!!!"...it means they're crapping in their Depends...the LAST thing Landry should be doing in his position is running his mouth...but that's what you do when you're terrified of being undressed and made a fool of on national TV...you boast, brag and bluster...like a game**** fluffing its feathers when facing a wildcat....

Have the Bills earned a "Bills Suck 2012" thread yet? I used to respect them and their fans since they were the humble and more dedicated fan base of the AFCE but recently, and particularly this offseason, they've arguably been worse than the Jets (I said arguably!!).

1. They lose two DE that accounted for 20 sacks and now have a pass russ by commitee, which could cause Belicick to bring back Carter once the season starts and this makes them better.

I don't get it. Is this a sentence?

2. They were 20 in rushing, and now have three guys that are serviceable at best, brilliant.

Brilliant? Is there some kind of a plan or idea that I'm missing here?

3. They now have one WR that can run down the field, that's all they need.

I don't recall Kirwan saying this. I'm pretty sure the need for them to have an outside threat has been discussed for two years.

4. Last years third string QB could become second string. Has never actually played in a game.

Hmmm...there was a guy who moved from 4th to 3rd to 2nd string without playing in a game. His name was Tom Brady. Not sure why this a huge point of criticism.

5. "Saturday didn't have one player in the same position as the starting five in the Super Bowl and it was a different combination on Sunday." I don't know what I can even say about this.

I don't know what he can even say about this either. In fact, I don't even understand what he's trying to say here. I think he's confused about many things.

I've read a few threads in that forum, and I have to admit, they really aren't that different from Jets fans. Grandiose expectations of finally taking over the division every year and a delusional confidence in the utter demise of the Pats based on them being the worst team in NFL history sans Brady. The Bills have been an even bigger punching bag over the years than the Jets have been, it's no surprise both fanbases have similar mentalities and viewpoints.

that page could be superimposed at JI or Finheaven and not miss a beat...the Patriots suck at everything and have for the past 11 years...sooner or later their great teams will finally overcome these dreadful Patriot squads, their stupid head coach, their gay QB and all the refs who are tied into illegal film making...in other words...you got a real genius party going on at 2 Bills Drive...SSDD

Let's not lose sight of the fact, though, that the Bills and Fins are still and always will be the little brothers of sucking compared to their much bigger and older brother in Jersey... younger siblings always look up to their big bros...

The guys at 2BillsDrive are better analysts of football, I think and do a much better job late in the season because the ones left are watching football and not just hating the Patriots. They've been out of the playoff picture for so long now, the regulars over there (for the most part) are season ticket holders who go because they love the game. 2BillsDrive is way up the food chain from JI and GangGreen.

A Board I like for just football talk is Big Blue Huddle - Index The Giants fans have great history with Belichick and Parcells, and when provoked get rolling on the Jets, too. They watch Belichick like a hawk around draft and free agent period to see what he does. There was another one down there - BigBlue something or other that un-moderated that was a sewer but they blew that up and re-opened it as a Giants official board - tepid.

The Jets boards are just packed with bomb-throwers who feed on the hyperbole in the Ruppert Murdoch media. It's all part of the bigger sucko-system that is Jets football.

I disagree, that thread doesn't come close to the stupidity and pure blind homerism that can be found on a jets board.

2Bills Drive is not even close to the same league of stupid as JI in that thread. This was the best

sllib olaffub

As much as I despise the Patriots, I also respect them - they are just so good; and, they're good in ways you'd want your team to be (except the spygate, which many teams were into - the Pats just shouldered the blame). So, I've got to agree here. We know they'll go out and win 12 or more games this year, and, it does mostly come down to Brady and Bellicheck. The rest is more or less interchangeable.

Jets' Coples Removed From Starting Base Formations

"Jets first-round DE Quinton Coples has been removed from the starting base formations.
For now, the Jets' plan is to use Coples in passing situations and as an end in the 4-3, but leave him as a backup when in the base 3-4. "We'll work it from back to front," DC Mike Pettine said of Coples' role. "He'll be a third-down guy, similar to [Aaron] Maybin." Pettine still eventually expects Coples to play 50 to 80 percent of the defensive plays per game. The Jets are desperate for pass-rushing help after Maybin led the team with a meager six sacks last year."

Let's hope this guy is Gholston 2.0
