Miss the playoff...fire the team mascot. makes perfect sense.
Absolutely.... Much like Brady tossing a dozen picks after his insane year of tossing only four, it's something that should be expected.

Martz to the Jets is too funny. I can see them throwing 60 times a game with that OL and Ryan wanting them to be physical and run. I hope it happens, it would be the biggest disconnect in years.
Martz would fit in well on the Jets because he is an egotistical loudmouth.

How about Ed runs the offense and Schotty wears the helmet for a season?
Two days after Rex Ryan admitted that he didn’t have his finger on the pulse of the Jets this season, rookie quarterback Greg McElroy revealed a toxic attitude that permeated the lockerroom.
“It’s definitely not a fun place to be,” McElroy told an Alabama radio station on Wednesday. “I can assure you.”
...
“It’s the first time I’ve ever been around extremely selfish individuals,” said McElroy, who was a seventh round pick out of Alabama. “I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our lockerroom that didn’t care whether we won or loss… as long as they got their… they really had a good game individually. And that’s the disappointing thing."
"It’s going to take a lot to kind of come together next year," he added. "I think the fact that we struggled at times this year really led to a really corrupt mindset within the lockerroom. But I think we’re going to regroup and I know that we’ll be a better team because of the trials and tribulations this year.”
"If you watched Mark Sanchez the last month of the season, he was like a chihuahua standing on Madison Avenue and 36th Street entering the Midtown Tunnel, eyes bigger than you-know-what, and just so shaky," said Esiason, according to quotes that appear on WEEI's web site.
Esiason, reached by ESPNNewYork.com, said the chihuahua line wasn't a reference to Sanchez's Mexican-American heritage. Esiason explained: "I chose a small dog that always looks shaken and has big eyes, and doesn't like big things -- a chihuahua. It's a skittish dog and he's been a skittish player."
“It’s definitely not a fun place to be, I can assure you,” McElroy said of the Jets’ locker room. “It’s the first time I’ve ever been around extremely selfish individuals. And I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our locker room that didn’t care whether we won or lost as long as they got theirs, they had a good game individually. And that’s the disappointing thing.”

They were just talking on EEI how some in New York are upset that Boomer chose "chihuahua" because, you know, that's a Mexican dog and Sanchez is Mexican American so it was obviously racist.
Tannebaum is on Francesa now.
"We don't want (rex) to change ... and we're really proud he's our coach."
