Dear Football Gods,

You have already rewarded me more than I cared to ask with this great Patriots run. After the 2nd SB win, I promised not to ask you for another thing, ever.

But if you have one more really small favor for me, please let the Jets lose to the Fins Monday night.

Thanks,

Nut.

Damn those Mods! Damn them!!!

Re: Semi-OT: What was the worst thing you've done to a Jets fan?

One of my best friends is a Giants fan. Close enough? I've never done anything except for remind him that his team and quarterback suck. He usually agrees.

This is why Giants fans are no fun, they typically hate their team more than their opposing fans. Talk about a pessimistic fan base.

Jets fans are under some delusion that if they keep saying they are good, they will be good, which is why every draft pick is the next star. Etc.

That's why Rex is perfect for this team and fan base. There are few things jets fans like better than being told how great they are.

LOL Boomer Esiason just slammed the Jets for making Holmes a captain. "What made Rex Ryan annoint him a captain is beyond me...." I pretty much had the same reaction when I found out he was a captain.

PATS set New RECORD!!!

Who has ever beaten two twin Brother coaches in consecutive weeks? Oh yes... I think we did it

:rocker::rocker:

Re: PATS set New RECORD!!!

This is a BIG DEAL b/c you better believe that these 2 Brothers were scheming this gamme in attempts to beat us.

So does this mean we get half a win on Rex? I think this should count as a .5 win vs. Rex b/c that clown was undoubtedly helping his brother

so what is the win record now 4.5-3 BB vs Rex?

45-3, actually.

LOL. Not that pic...the other one where a commentator said they were wearing male thongs.

Just heard a good stat on WFAN: Jets have lost to the Dolphins at home three years in a row.

Where's there's suckage there's hope!

I see an upset tonight. The Jets' locker room is fractured and I don't think they are going to take the Dolphins seriously. If Daniel Thomas plays, I think he will have a big game.

But really, how is Miami going to score? It's going to be a boring game, Green Beans winning 20-6 or something like that. I hope I am wrong.

Huh?!? I like Boomer, but he is way off on this one. If a diva WR who doesn't take personal responsibility for his own poor play and is quick to point fingers as his teammates in public every time things go bad cannot be a great team leader, I don't know who can.

Again, Daniel Brown. When healthy, he is averaging 100 yards a game. Don't count out a pick six by Sanchez.

Also don't count out Matt Moore to have a decent game. Many times when a mediocre QB takes over an offense due to an injury to the starter, he can have a game or two or three of good QBing before the league figure out how to stop him. Moore already did that very thing once in Carolina. In 2008 when he took over for Jake Delhomme, he completed 61.6% of his passes and had 8 TDs vs. 2 INTs. I doubt Matt Moore can be good or even average for more than a game or two, but he might be tonight.

Just like the Dolphins used to have with the Pats, no matter how bad they are the Dolphins tend to beat the Jets more than they win.

I like your optimistic slant. Hopefully the Green Beans come out a little tight while the Dolphins play like there's nothing to lose and take some risks.

Well, look at it this way, what have the Jets shown you that tells you that they are a guarantee win over anyone at this point?

Well, they pretty soundly beat the crap out of them Jags

...

Heck, let's make it two or three! 'Fins have some good CBs, and Sanchez might be feeling some pressure to throw downfield. From reading ESPN.com, though, looks like VDavis and SSmith have been underperforming, and they think this might be the time for NYJ to challenge them:

Dolphins CB Vontae Davis said he and Sean Smith make a better tandem than Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie. Well, okay, let's find out. Davis and Smith like to gamble, and that makes them vulnerable to double moves. If QB Mark Sanchez gets the time, he should be able to exploit them. How 'bout a slant-and-go for a change? Oh, by the way, Davis and Smith -- the gamblers -- have no interceptions.

Maybe this will be a wake up call for the Miami CBs.

FWIW, Sanchez v Miami last year:
Week 3 at Miami: 15/28, 256 yard, 3 TD, 0 INT; 83 degrees at game time
Week 14 in NJ: 17/44, 216 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT; 53 degrees at game time
