Gang Green is pretty bad, too. Although I like to read the threads of rival teams, the language is filthy and many of the of crude comments are typical of... well... Jets fans.

The problem with Jets insider is that you cannot have a reasonable discussion about the Pats. It's instantly goes to Brady being gay, or the pats are cheaters, ect... I get being a homer but at least be willing to engage in a rational conversation.

That being said.... this forum obsesses on the jets bad too.

i looked in there after their last game, first thing i found was someone comparing maybin to "a younger faster jason taylor". Swear to god it really happened. I laughed, closed the browser, I wont go back.

Every thread seems aimed at the Patriots. From Roger Goodell conspiracies, to Boston Globe articles, and rampant homophobia towards Tom Brady. Thankfully this forum is so much more mature.

No doubt - I've checked out other boards.

There's absolutely not the depth and breadth of full football talk at a very high "chess match" level that you see here..

Quite the opposite, the rampant homophobia and middleschool-esque language calling people ***s etc. because they play for another team is just downright insulting to me on behalf of all heterosexuals everywhere. (though me thinks they might doust protest too much!)

The Jets are ones share that quality as do the Browns Board - they're worth a read - they really make you feel so much more superior as a football fan!

Jets is a dirty word.
I refuse to fly on jets, I will only fly on planes.
Someone is never considered a "jet" in my world, they are "guns".
I dislike the band Jet... fiercely.

why do I need to pollute my mind w/ another site of a LOSING delusional franchise??? The content is mostly Anti-Patriot and meshed with a lot of dreams and delusions. This can be seen when they post their JET fantasies, which are more like fallacies instead. They expect so much, but will only get very little

I have been posting there for about 8 years, like every site there are some good guys with some knowledge of the game and there are some guys that just hate the pats. The mods there are much more tolerant of smack talk a that a lot of pat fans post there that this site is. There is no special forum site for fans of other teams like here so their gets cluttered with smack from both ends.

about 5 years ago most of the good posters left and formed their own site jet nation

It's easy to pick out the horrible posters on another board and judge the whole message board based on them.


I can do that here too, every forum has it's idiots and trolls.


I don't post regularly on any Jets board, but from my expereince TheGangGreen is by far the best and most knowledgeable, as long as you know who to read and who to ignore. (like any message board)

the worst thing is that jets fans think that their consecutive AFCC losses is some kind of quantum leap in terms of how the team should be viewed. the reality is that its one game better than what herm edwards achieved.

watch what happens to the jets the moment they don't make the playoffs and sanchez is thrown under a bus because of it......

These are the kinds of posts that Jets fans on other boards can quote and use to label the Patriots fanbase with, similar to the happenings in this thread. I'm sure the knowledgeable posters on this site are embarrassed by homerism like this.
