Gotcha, i interpreted your post as needing to prioritize the trenches over wr. I don’t think we’re in a position to prioritize. ot , edge, and wr are THAT bad right now. we take the best available and use our other resources to address the remainder.

That would be my play as well. I wouldn’t be terribly angry if they traded down for a first plus second and still came away with Abdul carter, but the more clips i see from hunter he is damn hard to pass up. Seems hes still improving as a wr, too much potential there.

Hunter's timing and hands are remarkable, on top of being lightning quick AND lightning fast. Truly a unique athlete.

Chase is unstoppable and gets alot of attention. That makes Higgins job much easier.

There is no Chase like receiver in NE.

Higgins had 67 catches for 908 yds and 6 TD's without Chase in 2020.

In 2021, after Chase's arrival, he had 1,091 yards. While not a massive boost, this is on top of Chase's 1455

With Robinson, Strange and Onwenu inside, we might only need adequate tackle play. Those three looked good today. Maye stepped up into the pocket today behind those three.

Yes lost in the misery of the day there was a glimmer of hope that the offensive line can be fixed or at least brought to a competent level. The interior should be good enough with those guys. Now we just need to find a way to upgrade from Lowe and Jacobs. That shouldn’t be difficult, right? Right?!

We have a QB that some players will want to play with, especially if there is OC continuity. AVP has been developing Maye and doing a good job.

I expect us to sign at least one of the WR's in the top 20 free agents, plus a second free agent unless we are sure that we are drafting Hunter which could be the case if we have the #3 draft choice. In the more likely case that we have something other than #3, there will be many options when we draft.

Upgrade is no problem. I am guessing Wallace is an upgrade over Jacobs - if he isn't than something is wrong. But an upgrade does not equal above average tackle play. I think there are no real outstanding left tackle candidates in FA if the Rams resign Alaric Jackson.

Hopefully we sign a good tackle in FA but those are rare. Slim pickings, maybe a RT in FA? Maybe we can hire a professional GM who can trade for a Trent Brown equivalent? I know, I know, but there are few tackle options around, and I am reading the draft has mediocre prospects.

Your right. I wish I could say we can find that guy in the draft. However polk and baker are bust! Either we over pay for Higgins or we trade for DK, DJ Moore or Olave.

He's a good player that will be overpaid wherever he ends up, here or elsewhere.

Trading for DK or DJ Moore even Olave is a better avenue. We has soooooo many holes to fill. The LOS needs to be addressed first and foremost. Need at least 2 tackles. Need at least 2 pass rushers at minimum.

agreed! Can go across the league and identify at least one playmaker on a DL.. I can't name one on ours. For all the talking white does when the last time he had a sack. Godchaux is done. All those other guys are back ups are best.
