would it be nice to get another randy moss type player? sure would... its fun, its exciting...

last year we gave up 50+ sacks... gave up 414 points... the offensive line had 41 penalties... how many of those were drive killers?we were in the bottom seven in terms of time of possession... and I haven't even gotten into 3rd and 4th down conversion rates... those issues need to be addressed... and yeah, it sucks not being able to get the shiny toy right away...

Its exponentially "less fun" to see Maye getting sent to the blue tent for "evaluation" ... Teams broke our line last year rushing four guys... Its a lot "less fun" to see our opponents hold the ball for 36 minutes a game because we can't stop the run...

Sometimes you have to build the foundation of the team... We added the most important piece last year. Now we have to give him the ability to work. That means competent line play. That means having a competent defense so we don't get creamed in the TOP battle... and that means building the trenches... I do not think Abdul Carter will be available at 4. Hence its LT for me. Then Edge/DL... Then WR... Then RT... Then 3rd down back.... Then Kicker... etc.

To be frank, I don’t even need anything close to a Randy Moss to get excited. Give me a Michael Pittman and I’ll be satisfied. Our receivers are so abhorrent and deficient in talent. We need 1 guy who the defenses actually have to gameplan for and who can score touchdowns if we get into the redzone.

Would love to hear your opinion on the Minnesota Vikings who won what 13 games with Sam Darnold as their starting QB? Built off two electrifying star WRs Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Darnold would have been lucky to win 4 games without those two.

You’ll see this year when Darnold makes an asshat out of himself in Seattle.

There's no doubt Maye needs better talent surrounding him or it's going to rough for him and the team going forward. Darnold and the Vikings were fool's gold all year long. When the defense put them in favorable field positions, Darnold was able to drive them down short fields. But once the turnovers and short fields went away, Darnold wasn't capable of consistently driving them down long fields. He was identical to Mac Jones and the Pats in 2021 just with a stronger arm and mobility. I was a big fan of Darnold during his USC days and thought he'd break the QB curse, but he's still very erratic.

But back to your point, Darnold got paid because of both Jefferson and Addison.

Yes for Flores. He left after they won the Super Bowl in 2018 season. The easiest way to refer back to the seasons is when it started. Ignore when the Super Bowl is played as that is the playoffs as that doesn't count towards the season. However, the NBA is referred to by two years like 2018-2019 season because the regular season overlaps into the near year.

Gilmore won for the 2019 season.
