I understand the difference you are talking about but it doesn't really matter when it happens. Rodney was penalized and suspended quite a bit. You can't "hit hard" and not get any penalties.
And the Jay Cutler push (shouldn't have been a penalty), Cutler sack (no penalty) and Rodgers push (no penalty) were laughable. In fact, those are the type of hits I'm talking about that rattles the opposition.
Coaches validate Harrison's rep as NFL's dirtiest player
When you think of the NFL's dirtiest player, does Rodney Harrison come to mind? If so, you're among the majority, writes Mike Sando.www.espn.com
Pats' Harrison can't wash hands of dirtiest player label
For the second time in three years, Patriots safety Rodney Harrison tops Sports Illustrated's list of dirtiest players in the NFL.www.espn.com
Vrabel has evolved into a fine HC and good evaluator of talent.Vrabel noted that Cunningham immediately gave his defense the edge it was missing.
BB doesnt role that way.Suh isn't violent, he's a cheap shot artist. There's a difference. I would hate to have him here.
You don't think Belichick considers whether or not a player is a cheap shot artist when deciding to bring him here?BB doesnt role that way.
I want everybody who can plug holes in this defense.
That's how this board works. 6 months ago, everyone agreed he was one of the worst cheap shot artists in the NFL. Now rumors* surface that he might be coming here, and all of a sudden he isn't dirty, he's tough. He isn't a cheap shot artist, he's a guy who makes the other team's QB keep his head on a swivel.I always thought that Suh was a goon, but if he signs with the Patriots, he will be a hero.
Haynesworth was here. Hernandez shot a guy at Florida. Dennard came with baggage. You don't think Belichick considers whether or not a player is a cheap shot artist when deciding to bring him here?
I strongly disagree.
And how did that work out?Haynesworth was here.
And how did that work out?Hernandez shot a guy at Florida.
Who?Dennard came with baggage.
And how did that work out?Merriweather was a knucklehead.
And how did that work out?AB came with his own Law firm.
The New England Patriots selected Dennard in the seventh round (224th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. And how did that work out?

Josh Gordon had to be on 24/7 surveillance. Some bleeding hearts here still cant keep dry eye talking about him.And how did that work out?

When I talk about how dirty Suh is, I am talking about on field issues. Off field issues are a whole other matter. The New England Patriots selected Dennard in the seventh round (224th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.
On April 21, 2012, Dennard was arrested for felony suspicion of assault on a police officer and felony assault in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He played 3 years in NE.

I thought that was obvious but w/e….
Bottom line is this: he’s the dirtiest player in the NFL. Until it was rumored he might come to NE, the entirely of this forum would have agreed with that. If he comes here, I will be disappointed but ultimately it comes down to rooting for laundry so it won’t lead to any significant change in my fandom. But I will not be one of the hypocrites that acts like he isn’t as dirty as they come.
You look pretty silly comparing any of those guys to Suh, whom most NFL fans would consider the dirtiest NFL player of his time and thinking one video of an obscure ex-Patriot doing a cheap shot compares to Suh's history.Merriweather played in NE for years. Rodney Harrison was no angel. Post Super Bowl 36, Richard Seymour was quoted in ESPN the magazine that he punched, kicked and grabbed whatever he could in the pile at the LOS. He played just as dirty as the guys in the other jersey's.
