Suh was in Boston

hes trying out for new david ortiz

So you must've hated Rodney Harrison then who had a horrible reputation as a dirty player.
If you can't tell the difference, that's on you.

I understand the difference you are talking about but it doesn't really matter when it happens. Rodney was penalized and suspended quite a bit. You can't "hit hard" and not get any penalties.

And the Jay Cutler push (shouldn't have been a penalty), Cutler sack (no penalty) and Rodgers push (no penalty) were laughable. In fact, those are the type of hits I'm talking about that rattles the opposition.

Like I said... some guys hit hard, other guys step on ankles well after the whistle. Suh is as dirty as they come. Your whataboutism does nothing to change that.

I always thought that Suh was a goon, but if he signs with the Patriots, he will be a hero.

Rodney Harrison was one of my favorites, but I am glad he played for our team. I remember a preseason game in which a defensive player for the other team (Buffalo?) hit Brady after the whistle. After the change of possession, Harrison destroyed their QB on the next two snaps; he sent a message. It was the best revenge p0rn I have seen on the field.

I did witness this at Bryant College back when the Patriots had summer camp there. A rookie roughed up John Hannah after the whistle. This rookie showed an extreme lack of intelligence....and ended up flat on his back the next two snaps. He was cut the next day.

Bill Romanowski was about the dirtiest play I ever saw.

Speaking of goons, here is one of my favorite rugby shots. Two of the first three guys look like goons (not the type you want to meet in an English pub) and the fourth looks like a psychopath: https://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/10_02/RugbyWhiteCliffs_800x600.jpg
There are some really scary guys in rugby... And if I ever was up against a Haka, I am not stepping on the field:

Interestingly enough, my wife and I ran into a woman's rugby team from the USA on a trail in New Zealand; they were nice enough, but I would not want to be on their bad side.

Vrabel noted that Cunningham immediately gave his defense the edge it was missing.
Vrabel has evolved into a fine HC and good evaluator of talent.

Though, I disagree that Tannehill will ever win him a ring.

Suh isn't violent, he's a cheap shot artist. There's a difference. I would hate to have him here.
BB doesnt role that way.

I want everybody who can plug holes in this defense.

You don't think Belichick considers whether or not a player is a cheap shot artist when deciding to bring him here?

I strongly disagree.

That's how this board works. 6 months ago, everyone agreed he was one of the worst cheap shot artists in the NFL. Now rumors* surface that he might be coming here, and all of a sudden he isn't dirty, he's tough. He isn't a cheap shot artist, he's a guy who makes the other team's QB keep his head on a swivel.

*I don't assign any legitimacy to the rumors, but I am speaking hypothetically here

Haynesworth was here. Hernandez shot a guy at Florida. Dennard came with baggage.

Merriweather was a knucklehead. AB came with his own Law firm.

And how did that work out?

And how did that work out?

Who?

The New England Patriots selected Dennard in the seventh round (224th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

On April 21, 2012, Dennard was arrested for felony suspicion of assault on a police officer and felony assault in Lincoln, Nebraska.

He played 3 years in NE.

Josh Gordon had to be on 24/7 surveillance. Some bleeding hearts here still cant keep dry eye talking about him.
Chandler Jones smoked some synthetic weed and ran around with no clothes on. There was a recent thread here wanting Orange Man Bad back.

If youre looking for Saints there aint none.

When I talk about how dirty Suh is, I am talking about on field issues. Off field issues are a whole other matter.

I thought that was obvious but w/e….

Bottom line is this: he’s the dirtiest player in the NFL. Until it was rumored he might come to NE, the entirely of this forum would have agreed with that. If he comes here, I will be disappointed but ultimately it comes down to rooting for laundry so it won’t lead to any significant change in my fandom. But I will not be one of the hypocrites that acts like he isn’t as dirty as they come.

Merriweather played in NE for years. Rodney Harrison was no angel. Post Super Bowl 36, Richard Seymour was quoted in ESPN the magazine that he punched, kicked and grabbed whatever he could in the pile at the LOS. He played just as dirty as the guys in the other jersey's.

You look pretty silly comparing any of those guys to Suh, whom most NFL fans would consider the dirtiest NFL player of his time and thinking one video of an obscure ex-Patriot doing a cheap shot compares to Suh's history.

Keep it up, though! It helps prove my point.

Suh looked pretty washed last year. I still think he would be a decent signing at the right price.
