In the AFC, people are looking harder at the likely wild cards, Pittsburgh and KC, due to the QB questions in Denver and Cincinnati (and the lack of competiton from the woeful AFC South).
In the NFC, Seattle will in all likelihood crush the so-called winner of the NFC East and then head straight to Carolina. Tough road for the Panthers who will have to beat Seattle and then possibly Arizona or GB.
The tournament will be wide open. Nobody really wants to play NE, especially once they get Edelcritter and Hightower back. They are the best balanced and most battle-tested team in football. The NFC teams have to be more than a little bit wary of Seattle.
Pittsburgh has a dynamic passing game. Will it hold up in the cold weather against playoff level defensive competition? That's the question.
The NFC battle should be a good one. Carolina may very well go 16-0 if they get past a pesky NYG team this week, but I have a difficult time seeing them win out from here to February. There's just too much parity and talent in that conference this year, at least in my opinion.
ARZ, CAR, GB, SEA are 4 tough squads who can all beat each other, and are all capable of going to the SB.
