Patrick Mahomes looked like garbage at the end of the 2020 season when his offensive line was a walking mash unit of injuries.

He’s not regressing or getting worse, his team was worse… specifically his line. Brady looked bad when his line was bad. Every QB in history has.

No matter how many times QB fanboys here tell us one person was responsible for success in the ultimate team sport… they’re wrong. With poor blocking and team everyone looks mortal.
He played like **** in the Super Bowl

You're right they aren't the same, Mahomes has been to the AFC championship game every year as a starter. LOL

Year 1: Brady wins Super Bowl; Mahomes loses AFCCG (vs Brady)
Year 2 - Brady barely misses the playoffs; Mahomes wins Super Bowl
Year 3 - Brady wins Super Bowl; Mahomes loses Super Bowl (vs Brady; not close)
Year 4 - Brady wins Super Bowl; Mahomes loses AFCCG
Year 5 - Brady loses Divisional Round; Mahomes wins Super Bowl
Year 6 - Brady loses AFCCG; Mahomes wins Super Bowl
Year 7 - Brady loses Super Bowl (16-0 reg season); Mahomes loses Super Bowl (blowout loss)
---
Year 8 - Brady blows out his knee in game 1
Year 9 - Brady loses Wild Card Round
Year 10 - Brady loses Divisional Round
Year 11 - Brady loses Super Bowl
Year 12 - Brady loses AFCCG
Year 13 - Brady loses AFCCG
Year 14 - Brady wins Super Bowl
Year 15 - Brady loses AFCCG
Year 16 - Brady wins Super Bowl (28-3 comeback)
Year 17 - Brady loses Super Bowl
Year 18 - Brady wins Super Bowl
Year 19 - Brady loses Wild Card Round
Year 20 - Brady wins Super Bowl (vs Mahomes; not close)
Year 21 - Brady loses Divisional Round
Year 22 - Brady loses Wild Card Round

So in their first 7 years, Brady had 3 SB wins, 1 SB loss, 1 AFCCG loss, 1 perfect regular season, and 2 years where the AFCCG wasn't reached; Mahomes has 3 SB wins, 2 SB losses, 2 AFCCG losses, and 0 years where the AFCCG wasn't reached. It is worth noting that 2 of his postseason AFCCG/SB losses were at the hands of Brady himself.

Comparing these 7 years directly, it is fair to say Mahomes has done more. However, Brady has an additional 14 years after that (subtracting the injury year) which contain 4 more SB wins, 2 more SB losses, 3 more AFCCG losses, and only 5 years out of those 14 where the AFCCG/NFCCG wasn't reached.

So it's great and all that Mahomes has reached the AFCCG 7 out of 7 years. But hard to compare against Brady making the AFCCG 14 years total. So Mahomes is only halfway to Brady in AFCCG appearances, and less than halfway in rings. Let's see what he does in his 30s.

I'd say that all things considered your consideration is sadly lacking the appropriate amount of tribalism and entirely too objective. You would 'personally put the Patriots higher' is some damn weak sauce sir. WE are US, the superior sons of New England, and they are just them, the inbred and ill mannered offspring of fly over state meth heads. The back half of the Patriots run was far superior, in fact it was epically epic SIR. Where is your sense of New England pride? I submit you need to look at the man in the mirror and seriously question his Patriotism you commie shill. (insert My Country Tis Of Thee audio here)

In the meantime, you had best return control of his account back to the real Ross. Don't make us send @One-If-By-Sea and @RobertWeathers or worse @Sam Bam Cunningham and Mrs Maust over there.

I was trying to be as neutral as I could. You know how I really feel. F the Chiefs

I am from KC, was talking to a Friend last night (KC fan) and he hit me with were you nervous about Mahomes being crowned as the GOAT. I said not worried at all because even if KC won its still not a discussion, but since Mahomes lost it will never be a discussion. He asked why so I told him that the Pats missed a 3-peat by 9 points. Brady had 3 SB losses but lost those by a total of 15 points and in both of Mahomes losses it was by more than 15. Biggest thing is Brady elevated people around him and Mahomes doesn't do that.

Mahomes is a good QB but not in the convo with Peyton Manning let alone Brady

Every QB running for his life usually does.

Both the QB and OL were lousy for the Chiefs on Sunday. Both can be (and in this case are) true.

Brady has looked a lot better when he was under way more pressure than what Mahomes saw on Sunday.

That was a great game... not because of the outcome necessarily... that game was an edge of the seat game.

Greg Bedard tried to say the Patriots never played a team the caliber of the 2024 Eagles. So the "Brady never lost in a blowout" shouldn't be a feather in his cap.

Are the 2024 Eagles better than the 2014 Seahawks or 2001 Rams? Anyone want to try and make that argument?

We didn't lose to a team as good as the 2024 Eagles but we most definitely beat better teams than them. The greatest show on turf, the 04 Eagles, and Seahawks are better than them.

2024 Eagles are better than both Giants teams and the 2017 Eagles who are our 3 losses. Also better than the other 3 teams we beat Panthers, ATL, '18 Rams.

This Eagles team is pretty good and not going anywhere anytime soon so maybe we look back a little differently.

FWIW I think a lot of people were blinded by your 7 year run (me included) but the way Sequan ran combined with a team that was in the SB a few years ago too they were pretty clearly the best team in football this year.

I'll add this bit in for you, @Ross12 :

Year 2 - Brady barely misses the playoffs*; Mahomes wins Super Bowl
*Brady's shoulder was so badly separated that season reports later said he wouldn't have been able to play in the postseason.

If he had been 100% healthy? Who knows how that year might have gone.

The 2001 Rams are the better comp - and that's definitely a point I would have to agree with you on.

I usually agree with Bedard, but he is way off base and I think he's rage bating. The 2001 Rams were the final the boss of the video game. They were that team back in the late 90's and early 2000's before management and coaching imploded. They really should've been a force for many years.

2014 Seahawks were also really good.

2004 Eagles were better than the 2024 Eagles. In fact, the Eagles were pretty much the last team standing after the 49ers injuries derailed their season and the Lions later on. While the Eagles are a good team, I believe they will get pushed back down the totem poll after the 49ers and Lions regroup/reload. They are basically the 2000 Giants.

****ing Gostkowski's missed PAT, ****ing Jamie Collins biting TWICE on an Owen Daniels seam route, and Belichick could have kicked a figgie on one of the Pats' last 2-3 drives.....

And that day we were playing Vollmer who had torn his ACL...but still switched over from RT to LT cuz' Solder was out.

And that game should have never been in Denver to begin with...thanks to Chris Harper's muffed punt earlier that year in Denver!

I'd hope he meant teams that beat us otherwise I agree he's just bating people.

Some of it's just because we were involved for 20 years straight but with everything we accomplished it's kind of crazy to also think what it took to prevent us from winning even more.

Excellent call - I had completely forgotten about that.
