Let me play devils advocate... maybe just maybe we won't be seeing them again...

They were exposed pretty hard... the bills defense I'm sure was watching that game very carefully.

This is my wish/prediction(lol)... the chiefs get to the playoffs 3 or 4 more years and maybe even get to another afc championship...

However... much like the pats, they will have to suffer through a decade of rebuild to get another serious shot at a superbowl much less multiples.

I dont see kc winning another superbowl for at least a decade.

I hope... lol.

You guys are correct that the cracks are showing in kc. Kelce is declining/ may be done , reid has 2 years left at the most, they should hopefully get hit pretty hard in fa at OL and possibly LB/safety.

However the problem i see is the situation in the afc. The other top teams are a bunch of choke artists and/or frauds. Lamar once again had multiple turnovers in his teams biggest game and andrews , NO idea what happened to him the last couple drives lol i like josh Allen and i think he gets a tough rap, but mcdermott is a complete fraud. This chiefs offense hasn’t even been that good the last couple years and he still can’t stop them whatsoever. He blew a lead in 2021 with 13 seconds!! the rest of the teams are amazingly average. Agreed until proven differently Allen, Jackson, Burrows have been choke artists for sure….we shall see going forward if they can take the next step

I look at this Chiefs team like the 2011 Patriots. That Pats team needed a lucky drop/strip in the endzone and a shanked FG to sneak by the Ravens in the AFCCG, who IMO were superior. The Patriots won on luck and guile. Not a lot different from the Chiefs all season.

Yeah, Brady might have lost three Super Bowls, but in two of them, he scored the go ahead touchdown with a few minutes left in the 4th quarter, and in the other one, he set the Super Bowl record for yards, while also tossing 5 TDs

There’s a Mandela effect thing going with the second giants loss. Pats scored with 11:25 left in the third and went punt/pick/punt/downs the rest of the way

I think we blend the two Super Bowls together because Eli pulled another one out of his ass, and it would have been nice if the defense could’ve given Brady one of those, but unfortunately he didn’t score late in that game

Maybe it's the optimist in me, but we watched the start of the NFL's Drake Maye era tonight.

Jayden Daniels may have something to say about that.

He and Drake might emulate the Brady-Peyton rivalry. As long as the Patriot side follows the TB12 script I’m okay with that.

Id say Brady’s legacy as goat is safe, yes. ours as goat dynasty/co leader in total rings is still somewhat threatened.

My Main concern is how weak the afc is. They all clam up against kc except cincy. Until one of them steps up kc goes to the bowl year in year out and its any given sunday where they can get every break/call and pull it off. This kc team was obviously not sb caliber but they pretty much had a free ride here and then its any given Sunday like the last 2 years. Fortunately the eagles didn’t let the refs affect it this time.

I disagree with this - Jackson, Allen and Burrow are all generational talents

AFC have unbelievable QB talent

Mahomes and Reid with Kelce have largely held them off aided by Burrow being injured, Jackson choking and Bills being bills

I know what you mean but doesn’t Jackson, Allen, and Burrow being injured, choking, and being the Jill, in fact NOT make them generational? Maybe the Jill’s being Jill’s since it’s a team thing but…think im probably splitting hairs at this point.

I disagree that the Chiefs are done.

They just need to find a LT, replace Trey Smith, and slide Thuney back inside.

Then I think they'll cut Kelce...just too much money man. I think Kelce is retiring anyway....

And they will have Rasheed Rice lining up alongside Mahomes...and the defense will mostly remain intact with a few FA departures (Bolton MLB and Reid SS).

I think they will still be contenders for the next 5 years for sure...their defense wasn't bad yesterday...just on the field too much...and short fields at that. The Chiefs didn't even advance their offense into Philly territory until the end of the 3rd quarter!

Philly is so dominant that KC isn't beating them anytime soon. The only team that can be reasonably predicted to win 2 more in the next 5 years is them.

Agree although Eagles were very fortunate this year with injuries. I think Ravens would have given them a much tougher game

The Chiefs have aging players and will lose some to FA, the Pats had to rebuild after the first run, but Brady was a nut, Mahomes better eat his avocado ice cream if he wants to last for another rebuild. He did great the last few years, can't take that away but to do it as long as Brady, don't think it happens.

I think that very well could be the case.

I also think they could have a Superbowl losers hangover this year and then Kelce and Reid could retire over the next couple years. If they are still on 3 and he needs to break in a new coach it could get interesting and what once seemed likely might not be so certain.

That said he went 3-2 in his twenties so at its simplest that's so impressive that he probably has a great chance at a couple in his thirties. But also most slow down a little if not entirely at some point in their thirties too so another 3 is probably not likely.
