Silver Lining... Sony Michel

SB, that kid has been trolling since he came on the board, to say Harris hasn't been great, just don't know what he's been watching.
Firstly, I'm not a kid. Secondly, is that how you refer to someone whose opinion differs from yours? A "troll"? That's pretty weak, especially for a board moderator. I generally support my observations and opinions with corroborating or at least detailed information.

Regarding Harris, when you say great, with regard to RB's, I'm thinking versatility, red zone threat and TD's. Henry, Cook, Aaron Jones, Kamara, Chubb... those are obvious great RB's in the league today... Harris is nowhere near their class (at this point).

You can have you're opinion about Harris and I'll respectfully disagree which is fine, but I'm referring to all your negative posts. I can bring up all of them and they have a tendency to be nothing but negative with all the anti Bill and anti Patriot themes. If your coming on this board just to agitate and be negative, please stop. This is another warning. Thanks!! Ash

For someone being new to the board, all of your posts are negative,(bordering on trolling) so if the Patriots are so bad, why not just go to another team's board? Where were you when we won the Super Bowl two years ago. If you're this negative in life, you must be a barrel of laughs at a party. I'm not trying to be a b%%ch, but just trying to give you some constructive criticism.
Yeah, I'm not new to the board. Shouldn't you be aware of this? All of my posts are not negative at all. I'm making cases all over the forum about Brady's greatest and importance to the Patriots franchise.

I'm a long time Patriots season ticket holder so I was celebrating with all other Patriots fans when they won their 6th Super Bowl. I also knew by that point that their success would not be sustainable with the aging roster and poor returns from multiple drafts. I was extremely disappointed with the way last season ended but it was predictable and I knew Brady had played his last game as a Patriot. I'm glad Brady landed in a great spot and he's had a highly redemptive and reaffirming season. I blame Belichick for Brady's departure and the overall precipitous decline of the team so I'm expressing that point of view.

A little advise for you since that's where you're taking the interaction... Don't provide unsolicited advice to others. You don't know anything about me personally. Only what you can glean from my posts about football which is very little to go on. Suggesting I'm "negative in life" is utterly rude and really says more about you than me.

Now if you'll permit me, since you are The Moderator, I'll get back to why I'm here... talking football.

I don't need your advice. I try to be respectful to all posters on this board. As everyone who knows me on this board will tell you, I am very fair and respectful to posters. When I feel a poster is trolling, I will call them out and give them a warning. They typically respond with either an insult or telling me that if I don't agree with them, that's why I think they are trolling. That's fine...I'm just trying to make this the best forum on the web and I think we have that. I'll leave it at that. Happy holidays!!! Ash

I think 2018 Sony is better than any one on that list. But « yes » the OL was on fire.
PFF had an article in the 2019 offseason stating Sony's production in 2018 playoffs was actually overrated calling it "average" considering how well the O-line was creating Grand Canyon sized holes. I posted this during the offseason. Blount would've ran wild with that O-line. Ridley would've done better before his concussion and that's not a debate as he ran for 1,200+ yards and 12 TD's his first year starting. Lots of fans seemed to forget how good he was that year. Your best argument is with BJGE.
The "committee" is getting a bit overrated here. Sony was terrible last season, he's looked better this season with limited reps, but he's still a complete zero in the passing game.
I'm not a fan of the "committee" and they need to cut it down to two main backs Harris/Michel.
Harris has been good, not great, but let's what see what he looks like next season. Harris also is a non-threat in the passing game (but in his case he may just be a casualty of the extremely limited quarterback play).
Harris looks fantastic and one of the only bright spots in the last two drafts. He would look better on paper had he not get reps stolen from him towards the redzone. Being a threat in the passing game seems to be a very overrated thing on here. Not many backs are dual threats and it's quite unrealistic to expect it.
White has had a completely wasted season with Newton at quarterback.
He needs to move on. He's about as obvious as it gets when he's on the field.
Burkhead was their most versatile and productive RB before his knee injury; he'll also be on the wrong side of 30 next season so his career may be in jeopardy.
I would've kept him over White before his injury.

One could argue that Sony was instrumental in the 2018 season SB victory. For that alone, he was a worthy choice. Just like Mitchell & Stork were good picks despite playing less than two years.
No they weren't.

Law firm was as average as average gets for a back. Very definition of JAG. Other than the Colts and Patriots, Blount has been quiet against quality opponents in the playoffs. Sony is better than those guys.

I’m just not sure Sony isn’t available anyway in the second round if the Pats wanted him.
If Bill had taken Chubb at #31 like he should have, Soreknee might still have been the next RB off the board...Cleveland themselves might've taken him at 35, or TB at 38, or Detroit at 43...

He still has 600 more yards, 9 more touchdowns rushing and his catches are down this year but last year alone he caught more passes than Sony has his entire career. I don't know how anyone could think there is a real comparison between these two players.
There isn't.

That's not what I wrote
I do love the posts left somewhat vague enough to back out of when asked about. Not sure why you’re randomly stating things about Chubb then.

I also love random drive -by posts which don't take into account the context of the post

I also love random drive -by posts lacking context whick don't take into account the context of the post
So then explain to me what the intention of your post was?

I haven't looked back and I don't care too.

Point is Chubb is better than Sony but not as good NG says he is.

Yeah who needs 3500 yards, 27 TDs, and a 5.2 ypc career average in 3 years? Doesn’t sound very good to me.

Great. You looked up his stats.

Does Chubb get the NEP more than 6 wins?

Does he add value in the passing game?

That's the context.

In comparison to what Sony? Who the original post was putting him up against. If so yes significantly more than Sony. 3x the catches and almost double the yards. If Chubb was here instead of Sony last year something tells me the offense looks better and maybe Brady is still here.
