Please stop with the mis-information. The Pats being home team get to choose if they wear Blue or White. 3rd jersey are NOT allowed in the Super Bowl. So red jersey is out of the choice.

In SB XX Pats were the designated home team and chose to wear dark, which in 1985 was their road jersey.
