Should the NFL expand the playoffs?

Now that i have given it some more thought, as well as a couple more painkillers, I have become more conscious and empathetic to the sadness all those players , as well as their parents, must feel when they aren't allowed into the tournament. Better to change it to a 32 team round robin, stop keeping score, and give them all really nice ribbons and some ice cream when they are over.

That sums up my thoughts exactly, :singing:

No they need to stop changing the game that became popular the way it was.
They need to change the OT rule back to the way it was, reduce the penalties on pass coverage, and the penalties on hitting the QB. If you don't want your QB hit build a better OL or you deserve it.

My initial reaction was 'yes,' but I'm going to go ahead and officially say 'no.' I like the format the way it is currently. As someone already said, an expansion might make the regular season slightly more insignificant. I like this season that so many games decided who was in and who was not. For instance, I actually watched the Cowboys v. Giants game because of the implications. I wouldn't have cared otherwise.

they will definitely expand the playoffs...now that the big mouth green loser only managed 8-8 this season and looks like he may fall flat on his blubbermouthed face next season...Jetdell HAS to act to protect the best interests of HIS pimp, Woody Johnson

Do we really want to see teams with 7 or 8 wins in the playoffs? No thanks...

I think they should expand the regular season/play off such that the superbowl is played on the Sunday prior to the third Monday in Febuary. In other words the day before President's day. That way folks don't have to go to work hungover.

You want to what?

The only postseason game I would like to see added is the 2 worst teams play each other for the #1 pick.

No. It's perfect the way it is.

I'd be more likely to watch this than the Pro Bowl.

I voted no ... expanded teams works for basketball and hockey because winning it all is a factor of skill and attrition. In football teams who make the playoffs have already succeeded in the attrition department and it's best to just let the skill win it all. If there were a temporary IR that could change it ... expanded teams would mean a change to the IR system IMO.

Agreed, but would the winner or loser get the first pick??
