They pay Antonio Brown 17m a year, have JuJu Smith Schuster on a cheap, rookie deal, and turned down trade offers for Martavius Bryant, who is another cheap option.

They also have to pay Roethlisberger and Bell.

Why on earth would they add a lesser, more expensive receiver? More importantly, where would they get the money to do so?

Call me crazy, but I want the guy. I think he'd be a great fit here as a guy who can make a catch in traffic. The reason Cooks wasn't a great fit here is because he needed to get separation in order to be useful. Cooks still did well, but his inability to fight for the ball in a close quarters situation hurt him.

A guy who can make a catch while surrounded by bodies is better for the medium range pass heavy offense we run. If we can fit him into our cap picture, I want the guy.

Yes, the Giants Offense bailed them out with the help of the Pats D. The Giants needed a stop but the Pats scored a go ahead TD late in the game.

If the Pats had won the narrative would have been "Perfect Patriots" and the Giants D would have been lauded for only giving up 2 TD's in a 14-10 loss.

Yes I agree. I totally forgot about the Pats being perfect and that would actually have been the only narrative. However, because they would've made history, nobody would've cared that the Giants held them to 14 points because they lost. It's only talked about because they won.

The Pats D made more mistakes in the Giants winning drive than they had made through 2 previous playoff games and 57+ minutes of that SB and it still took The Helmet Catch and Manning's great escape to beat them. No one will ever convince me the Pats 'lost' that game rather than the Giants won it.

I agree and I'm not trying to convince you otherwise. Rodney Harrison said on the Burress TD catch that Seau called a blitz. Harrison didn't agree with it as he knew it was a mismatch having Hobbs on Burress. But because he had respect for Seau, he stuck with the call. The Asante Samuel drop and then even worse leaving his man David Tyree was inexcusable. The D would've sacked Eli on that play as he was in desperation mode.
