Did you notice how many Pats players are banged up and missing tomorrow’s game?they just had a bye
Doesn’t matter whether they just had their bye or not.

Meaning rest injured guys or everyone? The Pats may be best served to win tomorrow and rest their players in week 18.
They need the rest badly.
Does that possibly cost home field later in the playoffs? The Pats may be best served to win tomorrow and rest their players in week 18.

Convalescing is not the same as resting. They are resting a lot of guys tomorrow

You know what's an even better matchup? We actually got a gift the chargers are a much better match up for us..
The problem is that if Buffalo wins this weekend then NE has to go 2-0 this weekend and next weekend to keep the division. If they go 1-1 and Buffalo goes 2-0, NE loses the division lead due to their record in common games tiebreaker and will end up as a wild card team on the road...The Pats may be best served to win tomorrow and rest their players in week 18.

Awful call (unless there was illegal contact somewhere else on the play). However, the Patriots blew a 21 point lead at home to Buffalo. That is what ultimately cost them the one seed. You know what's an even better matchup?
A bye.

That isn’t going to happen. So you deal with the hand dealt you. The 2001 team won the AFCCG on the road. We just need to win out and win 2 winnable playoff games and likely we’ll have a shot to do the same. We never controlled our destiny for the bye. It's not about Denver. It's about playing extra games that you can avoid and letting the dominos fall where they may.
That is only fairThis.
The Patriots can't afford to rest starters if Buffalo wins tomorrow. And the league will probably want the Bills and Patriots playing at the same time in week 18 to avoid games not mattering.
If they beat NYJ & Buffalo loses, I think everyone sits week 18.
Agreed.. but..Not gonna happenYou know what's an even better matchup?
A bye.
Other problem is that the Eagles basically have nothing to play for these next two weeks. They have their own division locked up, and the teams in the #1 and #2 seeds are a bit too far away, and the #4 seed will be whichever of Tampa or Carolina barely limps to 9-8 below them. So Philly is basically locked into #3 and they can kinda just take two weeks off... Buffalo will likely get two cakewalk wins.This.

We have to go 2-0 anyway, even if Buffalo loses and we have the division wrapped up you're giving up a potential home game in the Divisional Round to Jacksonville by dropping a game and falling out of the 2 seed. The problem is that if Buffalo wins this weekend then NE has to go 2-0 this weekend and next weekend to keep the division. If we can’t beat the Jets on the road and the Fins at home - we don’t deserve the divisionOther problem is that the Eagles basically have nothing to play for these next two weeks. The discussion was about sitting tons of players vs. the Fins in week 18. NE's depth players are not good, especially with so many injuries going on. Miami can beat that group. If we can’t beat the Jets on the road and the Fins at home - we don’t deserve the division
Eagles can still get the two seed. Chicago doesn't play until tomorrow night. We can’t sit tons of players. We don’t have the depth. So we play who we have. Get a big lead and you can sit peopleThe discussion was about sitting tons of players vs. the Fins in week 18. NE's depth players are not good, especially with so many injuries going on. Miami can beat that group.
