Ryan Clark doesn't think Tom Brady can reverse the "cheaters" reputation the Patriots have acquired

You should here mike fatcesa today in new york. Calling brady whiny whenever he get's hit. The sour grapes and jealousy always comes out when the patriots do big things lol.

Rodgers was yapping at the officials yesterday after just about every play he got hit. And that's fine.

Yet no one *****es about that now do they?

My thoughts exactly. Success always brings
out the jealousy and sour grapes. I don't know why people hate brady. The guy's a class act. People think he's arrogant. Far from it. The guy's a team player.

Ryan Clark's very own NFL Head Coach:

".....We didn’t lose the game because of any 'Spygate,' because of them having any additional things,” Cowher told 93.7 The Fan on Wednesday. “[If] they’re guilty of anything they’re guilty of arrogance because they were told not to do something but it was something everybody does......"

....... “Stealing someone’s signals was a part of the game and everybody attempted to do that. We had people that always tried to steal signals,” said Cowher,"

Cowher dismisses impact of 'Spygate'

I hear the CIA is "spying" on ISIS by sending someone to tape their movements with a hand-held video camera while standing in the middle of one of their compounds. They'll never see it coming.

a couple of quick thoughts.

1. I think given the chance Kraft would do things differently both with spygate and deflategate. You can see the different attitude in his post game remarks. HOWEVER the league is set up in a way that severely limits how vocal you can be in your outrage. At least now we can see that he gets it and making public his outrage, WITHIN the limits that constrain him. I mean what do you want him to do, he has already publicly admitted he f*cked up deflategate.

2. I think we aren't going to see the cheating suddenly disappear, but we will see it erode quite a bit. I am seeing the media and "experts" FINALLY talking about the real reasons why the Pats have maintained such excellence. The hard work, preparation, better coaching, and unselfishness of the players, etc are now being reported on a regular basis to the national audience.

I accidently turned on 1st take when they were talking about the Pats Steeler game and they had on one of their former players who was a former Steeler (I forget who) on, but when they asked him about why the Pats dominate the Steelers, his response could have come from Matthew Slater or Devin McCourty. It was pure Patriots porn. The Pats prepare better, execute better, etc , etc. I have never heard that articulated so well to a national audience, but I'm hearing it more often recently in some of the podcasts I listen to.

I think in the past the national audience bought into the idea that being that good for so long wasn't natural, so when the Pats were accused of cheating it was easy to buy into it. Now FINALLY they are being exposed more often to the real reasons. The things WE have known for years. So with that understanding accusations of cheating start to sound more like whining than the truth.
Dude Kraft alluding to things without outright saying them is the problem.

He should have said. Everyone in this stadium knows Tom Brady was suspended for something he didn't do and that makes this title even more meaningful to me.

Trying to say he change his tune by a cryptic reference is backwards. His lack of resolve in confronting it is the problem, dancing around it so he won't offend roger isn't a step in the right direction.

Did anyone at the game notice as soon as Zolak held up "wheels roger" they took him off the screen? And when the where's roger chant started they out the gronk be quiet image up that is supposed to be used to quiet the crowd when we are in offense.

The organization protected goodell.

A slightly different take.

As opposed to other leagues, the NFL does not have any Olympics or World Cups to help galvanize individual players and the fans of an entire nation. Thus, players playing for a team will have fans from that region only. The more success that player achieves, the more polarizing a figure he will be. The more 'GOAT' worthy he is, the more resentment, because he is better than your childhood hero's. I know many Steeler fans resent the Patriots primarily because Brady > Bradshaw, and the last remaining record they hold is the '6' super bowl rings. That record is sacrilegious to them. They were even chirping on how Brady had done nothing since 2004, while Ben has won 2 SB in the interim (of course that stopped 2 years ago).

Back to what I was saying, I remember growing up hating Wayne Gretzky. I grew up in Montreal, and was more upset that he was breaking records held by many of the Habs players, and 'how is it possible that he could be that good'. Excuse after excuse hating on him. What changed? Playing for Team Canada. Winning a gold at the Olympics, winning world cups, and finally after years (and maturity) realizing that he truly was the GOAT, and I was privileged to have seem him play.

If there was an Olympics or World Cup of football where Brady would play for team USA, the hate would be much less and the admiration greater. But there isn't. The only thing to do is win another (or 2) super bowls. At some point, the masses will have no choice but to reluctantly admit that he is/was a special player.

I strongly suspect that the day he retires, public opinion will change, and in a few years after that he will be declared the unanimous GOAT. History will show how dominant and resilient a franchise the Patriots have been. The difference between NFC and AFC representation in the super bowl attests to that.

In the meantime, the more bulletin board material, the better, the greater the hate, the better. Keep telling Brady that he is no good, he is over rated, how Matt Ryan will play better than him etc. Keep telling Belichick that the Falcons are the second coming of the greatest show on terf, and nothing can stop them.

Beyond the point of caring any more. Haters gonna hate. It's shameful but that's the world we live in now. Montana and others won countless games and Superbowls and they were revered. No chat groups or social media were around to spread hate and lies. Unfortunately that's were we are now. I am going to try to tune it out for the next 2-weeks and focus here and other Pats centric new sources that support my team and my heroes rather than those outlets and mediums that strive to break them down.

Best Medicine. Win it all. I think brady will want this one badly because of all the BS.

Cowher dismisses impact of 'Spygate'
This is a great quote by Cowher. This is why I don't get bothered by any of the Deflategate/Spygate/etc stuff.

For example, another excellent response was Montana when asked about Brady and ball deflation:
Everybody is trying to do something different. Our offensive linemen used to spray silicone on their shirts until they got caught. Once you get caught, you get caught. Period. It doesn't take anything away from Tom's game. But how long has he been doing it? I don't know.

It is one of those things that is a rule, right? It might be a dumb rule, but it doesn't matter. He didn't deflate them himself, but you can pick up the ball and can tell if it is underinflated, overinflated or what you like. Everybody is afraid to say it, but if the guy did it, so what. Just pay up and move on. It's no big deal.
At the end of the day, who ****ing cares?

We get so worked up about defending Brady's honor that we lose sight of the fact that even if it happened, it isn't a big deal. I know it's inconceivable for the vast majority of the board to accept that it's a possibility, but I think it's possible we deflated balls, and I still sleep soundly at night because I think it is a laughably minor violation. I don't know if we're guilty or not, but more importantly, I do not care!

Sure, the talking heads and worthless media outlets like ESPN feast on this news and manufacture controversy out of it, but the people that know what they're talking about don't care.

You must not have been around here during the whole controversy. It is pretty clear that there was no artificial deflation. Balls at 48 degrees have lower pressure than they did at 70 or 72 degrees. You can read through the whole Deflategate sub-forum if you want to get up to speed on it. The reason Tom wouldn't admit to it is because he didn't do anything.

Not sure you can take anything of substance from yesterday. BK was clearly very drunk last night. (maybe that little filter in his head turned off from it)

Drewskie's join date is Sept 5, 2015. He must be a BSPN employee because I'm having a hard time believing there's so many stupid idiots on patsfans.

Ooh, can I play with it? :D

This is what happens every time in the 2 week build up to the super bowl because these has-beens and other no name reporters want to get their name out there to take advantage of the massive viewership and coverage of the Superbowl

Nobody would have a clue who Bob Kravitz is if he weren't in on the Brady sting. He may not have been involved directly in setting him up but he no doubt was involved in and planned the release of the information either with Grigson, Irsay or both.

These people are human scum that would probably sell their own mother out if they thought it would generate more clicks. They're just going to use the Pats popularity and publicity to get their 15 seconds of fame..

I feel brady will want this superbowl more than the others simply because of what he has gone through. Hope they can finish the job in two weeks.

Oh this game means everything to Brady and even BB.. Belichick was practically holding back tears during the Lamar Hunt trophy presentation... he's usually emotionless like a rock, but they couldn't hold back their joy after the win yesterday

I can't even begin to describe in words how badly I want them to win just so I can watch that slug Roger Goodell have to hand the Lombardi to Brady and Belichick in person... and for him to have to say his line about how the trophy is going back to foxboro...

For a megalomaniac like Goodell, it would eat away at him so badly

I think back then that the NFL and media actually appreciated greatness.. and I think society as a whole did too

Now we're in a social media age where people are super bitter and salty... where they want to see someone screw up and then watch them get ruined for it..it's like no one wants people to get second chances anymore, they want to expose 1 flaw or wrong doing and then bury them for good and move on to the next target

It seems people want to see a flash of greatness just so they can have the pleasure of watching it get destroyed

I was having lunch in a pub in mid-town Manhattan today with ESPN playing in background (thankfully, no sound). I saw the three stooges Steven A. Myth, Max Kellerman, and Ryan Clark on whatever their stupid show is called. Ryan Clark seriously looked as though he had been crying all last night.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
