There was a guy down in Alabama, I think, that set the Guinness Book World Record for consecutive free throws made. He was not a pro bball player.
JoJo had just led the NBA in free throw shooting and this guy publicly challenged him to a contest, while talking a lot of trash.
JoJo agreed to go there .
Memory's a little fuzzy, but I think each got 100 free throws and this guy made like 93 or 94.
Then it was JoJo's turn.
I believe JoJo hit 94 or 95 straight,whatever he needed to beat the guy. And walked off the court without saying a word.

I remember that triple OT game! Next day at church I bragged that I got to stay up late to see the whole game. He exuded a certain class and grace in his play. Brings back memories.

Game 6 ended at almost 12:30 am that Friday night, and then I had to wake up early Saturday morning to take the T to Latin School for my SAT. All of us were talking about the game before the testing started, and then were talking again about the game again as soon as the testing ended.

Good times, good times.
