Can't wait for him to be out of a job. Some like him in the division because he'll play the Jets hard, but that direct assist to be the case. IMO he knows deep down he's not good enough to be a premiere coach, so he'll continue to try to convince himself he is by putting most of his effort into beating BB.

It's certainly possible that Rex talked with someone who heard rumblings that Garoppolo wouldn't be able to go and/or Brissett was seeing more preparation.

We just saw him chumming around with some of the reporters. As we're all aware of, they aren't exactly all loyal to Belichick and the Pats. It could have been something as simple as "my guy heard that Brissett is seeing more reps," and then Ryan mentioned it.
