For those last 3 runs vs KC in the championship game I will always thank him. Ran hard on all 3 plays. Second effort got him near the 1 on first down, made the next play much easier.

A bit disappointed. We don’t have a guy on the roster with that type of change of pace, explosive ability. White is sometimes that guy in the passing game, perhaps JJ is all of that and we haven’t had a chance to fully see it yet? Either way, was hoping he’d be a shadow roster guy who’d come back when healthy.

Availability is second only to talent/ability on the list of needs for a professional athlete. It is, in many cases, the number one need. Burkhead never played a full season in New England, and he missed 23 games in 4 seasons with the team, or an average of almost 6 games a season. And that's where he fell short.

I’m gonna miss Rex, a true champion. He did everything for the Pats. Running, receiving, special teams, did it all.
