Glaser is a typical “corporate operative,” doing the dirty work for senior management weenies, rewarded with bonuses, salaries, and fancy titles. My belief is Robyn Glaser wanted to further her career on the football side of the house. She felt with the Kraft's support and her relationship with Mayo provided that career path in football ops.

Now, football people believe in, "making your bones". Start from the bottom and work your way to the top. That's how Howie Roseman did it with the Iggles by fetching Andy Reid philly cheese steak subs and he didn't play a lick of football in college or HS.

I'm willing to bet way back when she approached Bill asking for opportunities in football ops and he told her to F off or he asked her to break down film for 16hrs a day.

Based on his career trajectory, I guarantee Vrabel is of the same mindset. Guessing her conversation with him did not go well.

I heard this from someone who heard it from someone. Not a reliable source at all but it makes a lot of sense. Like I said earlier, it connects a lot of dots including Jonathan Kraft regretting hiring Mayo within months.

Glaser was Mayos personal assistant. She knows that Kraft screwed Mayo over and did the right thing leaving.

Vrabel still has to contend with Wolf and Groh. Bob Kraft is still the calling the shots too.

I'm not sure what you're saying but I think it sounds like you're saying that qualified minority candidates cannot fulfill this quota because they're qualified and thus do not need the help of the Rooney rule? That the Rooney rule somehow helped Byron and Pep because they would otherwise have zero chance of a interview, not because of their minority status but because of their resume?

If that's what you're saying then I disagree. They had the interview because no serious candidate answered the call.

That's pretty damning to have only 5 minority head coaches hired in around 80 years time. It speaks for it self.

Yet as a minority, 53% of players in the NFL are black. Why is that? Racism against whites? Less opportunities for whites? Maybe they are hired for their talent and ability. That is what everyone would argue. Wouldnt that be the same for coaching hires? Teams look for the best candidates.

Why would Mayo say that he would be better next season if he was not under the impression that he would have more than 10 months at HC?

Thunder did not utilize his cap space this season. Thunder let Laurel and Hardy control the draft netting 1 player in Maye from the 3rd draft slot. Stan and Ollie gave away Ladd McKonky who might have made the difference in a couple of more wins. He was at least playing unlike Polk and Baker.
