Is this the biggest sign that Vrabel is in charge?

Feel like I should go back and delete every time I posted that I preferred Johnson.

Ladies and gentlemen, there's a real boss in the building.
It really is fascinating.

Hes not there a week and EVPs are quitting.

He is empowered.

Ok there it is. Officially Official.

He's going to have a short window. Look back that the Apple thing, and how Kraft was going to burn Bill down over the Tom/Drew controversy. He rolls in there and is throwing around serious big **** energy. To your point, the Krafts have trusted Glaser thru some of the toughest times for the franchise, been (we assume) solid legal advise, and she's out, barely a week into the regime change.

Solid, forceful moves.

She told Mayo he was getting fired is my bet.
Costing us the 1 pick;
She handled the legal stuff. She had to know about the contract termination, and also been part of crafting/reviewing the letter that was released to the press.

So she definitely knew in advance. You might be on to something.

Absolutely. I believe when BB started to struggle Kraft thought the fix would be collaboration. Then, Mayo & Glaser started to tell him everything he wanted to hear and he actually believed what they had to say. Fast forward to last season and during the trainwreck he realized that BB had a good handle on football operations. The team was struggling in the win/loss column but there wasn't the dysfunction we witnessed last season.

Thankfully he realized his mistake, hired Vrabel and gave him the authority to clean up the operation. I have no doubt he will turn us into a professional operation. I am really pulling for him & his staff to put together some good drafts and add some quality players via free agency/trades.

The football operations have been an unmitigated disaster for the last 3 years and they were bleeding before that. If she's been taking on a bigger role there, makes sense that she would be getting pushed out. Anyone in the football side of things should be on the hot season based on recent performance.

I'm not sure exactly how involved she is in football things though. I really don't know what her role is. It's possible that Vrabel wanted his own person/people in whatever role she does football wise and she didn't want to stay on for no football responsibilities since maybe that's where she wants to move her career to. So she'll pursue something else.

It could also be her just not wanting her name dragged through the mud. Fans and the media here are brutal if they don't like you. They don't stop at "doing a bad job in sports". Instead, they deep dive into your personality and paint things like you're an evil person. It's very personal and dehumanizing. She's taken a lot of heat from fans and their ringleaders like the doom-harbinger Felger/Giardi type of media dweebs who cover football like TMZ because they couldn't tell you the difference between man and zone coverage. She might have just wanted out of that.

Oh yea. Vrabel will let you know hes there.

The thing is I don't think he was the "axe man" here. His plan did not include her function in football ops. She cried to Bob and he said, "sorry". She got pissed and quit.

Good frekin riddance.

By BB mentioning her name last week, he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He wanted to destroy her publicly.

He wanted to stick it to the Krafts. He clearly had an issue with her. He sees the chaos the team is in. He married her name to the failure of the Patriots.

Pretty ruthless.

No

Glaser was Mayos personal assistant. She knows that Kraft screwed Mayo over and did the right thing leaving.

Vrabel still has to contend with Wolf and Groh. Bob Kraft is still the calling the shots too.

My belief is Robyn Glaser wanted to further her career on the football side of the house. She felt with the Kraft's support and her relationship with Mayo provided that career path in football ops.

Now, football people believe in, "making your bones". Start from the bottom and work your way to the top. That's how Howie Roseman did it with the Iggles by fetching Andy Reid philly cheese steak subs and he didn't play a lick of football in college or HS.

I'm willing to bet way back when she approached Bill asking for opportunities in football ops and he told her to F off or he asked her to break down film for 16hrs a day.

Based on his career trajectory, I guarantee Vrabel is of the same mindset. Guessing her conversation with him did not go well.
She seen what was happening with Kelly Kleine Van Calligan and
Catherine Hickman

Through all of this, there is but one significant member of the organization who avoids media scrutiny and other unpleasant consequences. It’s not by accident.

Glaser is a typical “corporate operative,” doing the dirty work for senior management weenies, rewarded with bonuses, salaries, and fancy titles. Even if she doesn’t stay with The Kraft Group you can bet your bottom dollar that she’s getting a “golden zip line” to one of their connections, more than likely via Mr. Jim Nolan (Google him if you’re curious).

I think that he's been quite candid with the Krafts about what he is going to do to restore a winning attitude and results. Mike has a quarterback, is in the Patriots Hall of Fame as a player with three rings, and I believe he's going to do an admirable job running this team. He ain't messing around, and he's very intelligent.
