Really happy and LONNNNNNNNG overdue. I just want to make a shout out to Patriot Nation who got this right. It would have been very easy to pick Vrabel or Seymour, but despite the obvious easy choices, Patriot Nation made the RIGHT choice. I think it shows just how discerning and knowledgeable Pats fans are.....sometimes.
that reminds me, must go back to the hospital Monday for treament of my sudden onset carpal tunnel syndrome...you're welcome

Tatupu? C'mon really. HOF level, I never thought he was that good. Played his heart out, but more of a fan favorite than all pro type. Am I missing something?

Vrabel too. I'm not quite sure he's Patriots HOF level. Good player. Important cog, yes. But if those teams hadn't dominated and he wasn't another fan favorite type, the face of the D right in the middle of everything, playing during the modern BB/Pats era, he wouldn't be considered nearly as highly.
Those watching closely saw how important Vrabel was to the defense; LB's here were - and still are, today - called upon to recognize plays as well as they made them. I was pleasantly surprised we were able to get him from the Steelers.

Mosi was a pioneer in establishing the special teams leader as a critical element of a team. I don't know that statistics of his time convey his importance, but the reason he had his own cheering section was because of what he did on the field. John Facenda said it best: "It can be one man rising above the obscurity of the grim, no glory duty of special teams." Tatupu did that every week.

Seymour has more individual accolades, which is the priority for many who evaluate worthiness.

For others, qualities like leadership and honor and example and loyalty are the qualifications for enshrinement. It's why Bruschi is in there, and why the late Julius Adams should have been many years ago, and should be at the top of the list now and inducted next year.

Never thought he had a shot. Not because he didn't deserve. Anyone that saw him play knew he deserved it. Like Tippet and a few others, Awesome player on some not so great teams.

Very happy about this selection!
