Rapoport, Schefter: Josh McDaniels, Dave Ziegler hired by Raiders for HC/GM Positions

Wow so Mcdaniels was never the heir.
Hope we wreck them when we play.
When Robert and Bill step down, Jonathan and Little Steven will continue the Kraft-Belichick tradition of excellence. Can't wait to see the post game pressers with Little Steven.

I figured for a while it'd take a golden opportunity for Josh to leave, and this looks pretty golden. A good roster already competing for a playoff spot, with the ability to make personnel decisions (while they're hiring Ziegler, I'm sure he and Ziegler will most likely work in-tandem both coming from NE). Additionally, he can probably get Garoppolo this year if he wants him and flip Carr for picks.

Good luck Josh, competing with Mahomes and Herbert is no easy task. The whole league is going through a complete makeover.

You do know we PLAY the Raiders in 2022 season....

Who replaces McDaniels at OC, and who replaces Ziegler? Bill O'Brien has been mentioned, we'll see. Very curious about what happens with Ziegler's role also. A lot of movement in the front office.

F the Raiders. (Except when they're playing Kansas City.)

My guess is the 2022 Patriots will be better than the 2022 Raiders but still lose to them.

I hope this never happens. Steven needs to go elsewhere for a little bit. Mayo DC unless you're bringing Flores back.

I wish some team would offer Steve a DC job. I don't necessarily think Steve sucks, I just don't know how much is him and how much is Bill (that's kind of always been the case with the NE "DC" but it feels extra shaky when the guy is Bill's son). Would like for him to cut his teeth somewhere else... Although if he leaves and turns out to be really good, there's not really any avenue for him to come back to NE at that point unless it's replacing Bill. But that feels unlikely at this stage.

One of the things beneficial to the Pats over the past 20+ years has been consistency in coaching, I know McDaniels stepped away for a cup of coffee, but whoever assumes this role will have to follow along and make changes slowly..

Fist pumps part deux coming soon in 2022.

They better hire a great QB coach for Mac Jones. OBrien is NOT beneficial to Mac. IMO.

Hopefully they have a handshake agreement with BB to not poach members of the staff. Would hate to go into the season with a **** ton of turnover in the FO and coaching ranks. Let’s the offseason excitement begin boys and girls.

Good I'm glad he's gone quickly so we can move on.
Hiring Ziegler as GM might be a stretch, but IDGAS.
Good Riddance boyz, enjoy getting smashed...I can't wait for Broncos 2.0!
