Rapoport: Patriots quietly bring in Lamar Jackson for Pre Draft Visit

I don't like this player, ergo the Patriots must not either

That's not what I'm saying at all.

Assuming this post was directed at me, that take is actually so bad that it's embarrassing.

IF, IF, IF BB was considering bringing in a QB using a high draft pick or trading up he would want to sit down with the player and understand, his personality.

We have read about the way BB will challenge prospect mentally to se how they absorb info and process it.

In a couple of hours with a player he can get a good handle on this. If he is looking for Brady's successor he will do his due diligence before using the draft capital.

Their are ways around this who says we didn't conduct secret meetings with Rosen Darnold or Allen?

The Patriots should talk to all of the top QBs. Three of them may be drafted to rival AFC East teams.

Bingo. The Ravens may also grab Jackson. It makes sense to bring them in even if you have no plans to draft them.

I was mostly joking. None of us know jack ****, so we're just going to pretend our particularly biases are exactly the same as the Patriots'. If we don't like a player, the Patriots can't either (and any information to the contrary is a smokescreen)... and if we do like a player, they must love him. To be fair, that's what most of this board is most of the time, but it's especially true for the draft.

Jimmy G went to Eastern Illinois, not Ohio State

Yes, I know that.

After watching JG carve up FBS San Diego State (which went to a Bowl game that year) in 2013, Urban Meyer became one of JG's biggest fans. He is also a close friend of BB.

The Patriots may, indeed, love Jackson. My post wasn’t a commentary on him as a player as much as it was a commentary on them as a team. I can’t see them leaking that info out there about a player they’re head over heels in love with.

It’s more difficult to get info out of Foxborough than it is the Vatican.

Did Jimmy visit before we picked him?

Butler is thankful this is not a myth.

There's been a lot said about Butler. That people are unwilling to believe any of it is true, no matter how many times it's corroborated, is sort of my point.

Do please explain, because I'd be inclined to use Butler as an example of just the opposite of what you're claiming.
