Rams fire Jeff Fisher

about 5 years too late, but i dont think owner really cares, he prolly just decided to show up and watch the game for once and got sad.

Wait, did this really happen?

Great way to start things off in LA lol

Was fired because his contract said "You are banned from thinking" and during practice, Fisher was seen thinking (even if barely) and they dumped him

He already achieved his nine losses this season. There was no point in keeping him around for the last three games.

Maybe that 2 year extension that they gave him last week had language that allowed ownership to cut ties with him.

I'm legitimately surprised and I wonder if he ever coaches again.

Nice. Didn't they just re-sign him?
I thought the same but I guess they had done it in the off season and then just announced it recently.

He seems like NFL front office material. Like a replacement to Kensil type.

Apparently the owner reads our board.

didn't anyone wake this mutt, Fisher up and tell him...wait, he wouldn't understand anyway...

I wonder if Fisher was disappointed at being fired or just said, "Meh. Whatever."

Here is a fun fact !

Bill Belichick could go 0-16 the next 6 seasons & he would stlll have a better winning percentage than Jeff Fisher.

Maybe he should've had at least 3 rules during traing camp?

What are the odds he shows up on Thursday and tries to 'coach' not knowing he's fired?

Showing my age again, but the fresh start the Rams had after their 21-yr absence in LA may already be ruined. The 70's Rams were a lot like the recent Colts, playing in a very weak division, then often being one-and-done against the big boys come playoffs. The home crowd would often boo the Rams - in my books the most notorious fair-weather fans in NFL history. Then the Raiders moved in, and neither team had sellouts in the 90's. Both moved. Still don't think LA is much of a football bastion - why would they be without a team for 21 years? Kronke may be disappointed when the apathy affects his bottom line. Fans in St Louis are already loving this.

Well at least we still have Danny Woodhead on the roster.
