BB is never too high, never too low. He'll use the same stock responses. After a win, it's "good to get a win against a good team, but we have to face another one next week." After a loss, it's "we got outplayed and out-coached; they made the plays and we didn't; we'll need to play better next week."
....After losses, he's usually very succinct and let's his body language speak for him. The worst I think I've ever seen him was after the Giants loss in the Super Bowl, understandably. He could barely get out a word to Chris Myers with his lip trembling. This game means everything to Bill and that loss was absolutely devastating to him.
Yeah I got the same impression after the Giants.
Another tendency: Very very often, even if an upcoming opponent is only vaguely and remotely a threat, he will talk about that team's stars as if they are the most deadly talent in the NFL, and characterize the upcoming game as the toughest challenge up to this point all year (or will say that about the team the Pats just played, unless he has lost to them.)
For a guy so roundly hated by other teams, he would MUCH rather compliment an opponent than his own guys.
+1, that he never reveals inside information. NEVER. And he keeps the entire team buttoned down on that score. Silence.
That comes from being from Annapolis (Dad coached @ Naval Academy) and around too much government via the Navy, if you ask me. He truly
gets that information is a resource, a commodity. You don't give it away for no purpose, you don't give it away for free, and you understand that you generate intelligence any time you use the intelligence you have hoarded. I truly believe this is very much on display in his approach to the game.
Those who make much of the camera story, in fact, may see this as a classic "tragic flaw," that thing taken to excess that leads to ahem, a sub-optimal outcome.
