Denver has never been an ordinary venue. Preparation, approach and attitude must be specific, direct and applicable if a visiting team expects to win there. Those who fail to learn from it are doomed to repeat it.
Your projection seems right. I believe the ESPN has the same. Of course, BUF could be playing BAL.
Messed around with the playoff machine. My preference obviously is the 1 seed, but if that doesn’t happen the above situation is very realistic (the main needed results there would be den beating jax and Houston beating LAC) and i believe sets up well for us. Lac and Houston are tough but theyre indoor teams coming up north. Houston has never won a playoff game outdoors (even though they’ve always been a defense first team) to my knowledge and the chargers haven’t in a long while. In the above scenario id predict to see us hosting buffalo in the afcc.
the 2 afc matchups that would worry me the most are buffalo and visiting mile high. If we can go in having to do just one instead of both that would be the most favorable road imo barring the 1 seed.

BUF would be happy to play PIT for their first game.
I would count JAX out in a revenge game against HOU. In that case, we would play both BUF and DEN.
Thus could play out with NE, Houston, Buffalo wining round 1.

Yes. We would be 14-3 and the best anyone else could be is 13-4 in that scenario.Do we have the #1 seed we win out and LAC beats DEN?
That was very impressive from them today.I've been thinking this the last couple of weeks.
Hasn't been a murderer's row of opponents, but they've quietly been on fire for the last couple of months. despite what should have been a catastrophic amount of injuries on offense.
We really need the Chargers to win Saturday against Houston.Yes. We would be 14-3 and the best anyone else could be is 13-4 in that scenario.

The Chiefs are more washed than Katy Perry. Denver will destroy them on Thursday night.Just a reminder for anyone writing in the Chiefs as an automatic win for the Broncos, Denver beat the Commanders with Mariotta 27-26, the Raiders 10-7 and 24-17, the Jets 13-11 and the Giants 33-32 while scoring zero points through three quarters.
They're not some juggernaut that beats teams on cue. It's a divisional game in Kansas, and if anything makes a team that has nothing to play for hyped, it's to ruin the plans of a divisional rival, something that we've been dealing with forever in the Brady years.
In 2019, we only needed to beat the 4-11 Dolphins at home with Fitzpatrick at QB to win the bye, and we lost. 2015 as well. Both loses effectively ruined the season.

Otherwise the Chargers could be resting starters, unless Indy starts winning a bunch of games and their playoff spot is in doubt.
I promise you, the Chargers want nothing to do with traveling to the East Coast for any reason, against any team - especially if it happens to be a day game.if chargers lose to houston then beats denver, it looks like they'd have to go to denver the following week....so in that scenario, resting starters, losing to denver, coming to NE looks preferable to the chargers
but if they beat houston and lose to denver, they'd travel to Pitt.......win out, the chargers host buffalo? (likely).......it's almost like beating houston/losing to denver is the best path lol
pats just need to win out and let the chips fall; even houston looked pretty beatable yesterday, their JV level offense returned.....i'd much rather see a top defense over a top offense

The Chargers would rather play in Denver than play the Jets in New Jersey Sunday at 1.their history there is not good.......but who in the hell would want to go to denver in the playoffs.....
Santayana, I think (There is disagreement). I first saw it on the first page of Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich," which came out when I was in high school. There was a swastika on the front cover of my fatso paperback copy (Thickest I'd ever seen). I was reading it in study hall and some kid gave me an accusatory look and asked, "Why are you reading a Nazi book?" I said it was a history book. He didn't buy it. Years later I used to play sort of dinner music on my guitar in a French restaurant in Lenox, Mass, and Shirer came in one night. He was the only diner who paid the least attention to the hippy noodling away on a stool in the corner, even gave me a little fin de siecle golf clap after I played "Out of Nowhere." I thanked him, said I liked his books. He was a very civilized guy, or maybe he just had bad taste in music. I've read everything he ever wrote. My favorite historian, aside from Will (and Ariel) Durant. Uhhh. Go Pats. Those who fail to learn from it are doomed to repeat it.
