Let's hope Jack Jones participates tomorrow. I think BB is playing mind games with Skippy regarding Meyers. I don't think BB sits him in this important game.
Meyers suffered a concussion, I don't think its really up to Bill whether or not he sits or plays.

I'm assuming Renfrow and Waller both play this week from what is sounds like. The real question is how much do they play, I doubt they play a significant amount of snaps, they'll likely be eased back in week to week. Same goes for Barmore...

If Bourne doesn't play over Agholor this week we'll know junior high grudges mean more than winning to BB and MP.
And why can't they give Thornton the deep outs?! Instead of the 3 yd. curls...
We really need Mills and Jones back this week with Adams. We can't have the shorties - J.Jones, Bryant & M.Jones - on him.
And, I hate to say it, but DMC has been more of a liability lately.
Oh, and Palardy is 10x worse than Bailey - we need him back fast.
Yes and BB hasn’t tried out any other FA punters…..I’m guessing some are out there and would be better than puffball Pete

This will decide the game. Trent Brown better get his act together
Haha ha now that’s Funny….you are right but Brown has checked out is undisciplined and is a liability

Happy Friday everyone!!! Getting you all ready for a Friday:

27-17 Raiders, potential disaster coming here.

All the Raiders have to do is be functional and not commit a brutal turnover and the Pats can't score, how many times do we need to see it.
No we will smash the raiders
Bb will know McD and his offense well I expect the defense to be ready and the offense needs to stop abandoning the run game and set up the pass because the raiders backfield isn’t the great

I mean, I think they will probably lose, but, I watch...its what I do

OK. I hope you can have fun watching while convinced the Pats can only lose. Not sure why it is fun watching with that approach, but maybe it is like watching a horror movie where you know bad things will happen. I never liked horror movies.

You are sorry? This is a loss? You might as well stop posting and skip the game. Talk to you next week.
I'm sorry for being a realist. I've been hoping for some past Pats magic all year, but it's time to recognize the facts. We're just not a good team or competitive with the top half of the NFL. Mostly due to our disaster of an offense. So, of course I'm watching every game, and pulling for something positive to root for, but I'm expecting losses the rest of this season. It is what it is. It doesn't make me less of a fan, it makes me fanatically disappointed in BB and his staff decisions this season - which is where the blame lies.

The issue, as you state, is hoping for Pats magic like years past. But Mac's temperament is not like Brady's, and Mac's fundamentals (footwork, internal clock, etc.) are lacking too. The magic will not happen until those issues are resolved. Could be coaching I agree, but a lot of it is on Mac. Why was Zappe fun to watch? Because his temperament is great and he has the timing when moving. Mac doesn't. Both have the same coaches. Why is Zappe's temperament OK with the same coaches? Mac has to mature and I am still hopeful he will. Let's see if the last 5 games are better than last year.

Without Meyers & Parker, and with a hobbled Rham & Harris, we can't win.
I like the idea of Thornton, but he's done nothing. Agholor is so unreliable.
Bourne has the talent, but he's not able to carry a team, or get open on his own.
Our WR's are so mediocre, and our TE's are barely in the pass game. Death by 100 screens isn't going to work.
Sorry, but this is a loss - and the end of our season. After this game, we'll get dominated by the final 3 teams and it's going to be a long offseason of doom and gloom.
This is written like you haven’t watched the Raiders play this season. Multiple times they have snatched defeat from the Jaws of victory.

The Raiders have beaten one team currently above .500 this season. The Pats certainly aren’t great but the Raiders are worse by pretty much every metric. At the very least our injuries even the playing field not make this a sure loss.

Even with the Pats injuries are they worse than a Rams team without Stafford, Kupp or Donald that beat the Raiders last week? One qb’d by Baker Mayfield who didn’t practice with the team before playing?

There is being a realist, and there is being a pessimist. Being sure of a loss to a 5-8 team with one win against a team over 500 seems like pessimism.

Offensively not Defensively right now I hope Mac and the Offense can pull it together. IF we pull this one out I expect this Teams confidence to soar. We are in control of our own destiny... "Destiny is all".

Rham can sit this one out we need him next week against the Bengals. We should have more injured players back then.

Interesting.
The NFL decided to ban it

A Rams team where Mayfield had 2 days in it the offense. No Kupp and Robinson, coupled with the fact that the Rams have pretty much no RBs and the Rams OL I would say is worse than the Pats, they've given up about 50 sacks this season

You just need to reframe what success means. Success isn't winning, it's a first down or a nice play.

McDaniels knows Mac's strengths and weaknesses inside and out and the whole offense for that matter- huge advantage for Raidahs defense. Expect a ton of pressure up the middle on Sunday. Matty P will be going wild calling halfback and bubble screens. It will be maddening.
Belichick knows McDaniels' offense inside and out. I'll take Belichick's familiarity advantage over McDaniels'.

The Patriots offense has inherent weaknesses brought about by the simplicity and predictability of the play-calling... it creates an advantage for every opponent but they have to have the defense to make use of the advantage. Teams like Minnesota, Arizona and LVR cannot because their defenses are terrible. Good defenses like Buffalo's and NYJ's can easily stifle the Patriots limited offense.

This is true but let's not pretend the Pats have beaten a bunch of teams with >.500 records. They beat one team (Jets) twice and it took their QB gifting us 3 INTs and a miracle ST TD to do so.

Maybe we get the same in this game, a bunch of INTs or a ST/D TD. Anything is possible.
