Patricia and Judge don’t burp without Bill’s permission. Bill wanted Zappe too. Ownership wanted Jones. We get Jones.Zappe has his supporters. Bill wants Mac. Let‘s just say that’s how I see it, fwiw.

Are you hypothesizing or do you know this and, if so, how?Bill did not step in. He was stepped on. Patricia and Judge don’t burp without Bill’s permission. Bill wanted Zappe too. Ownership wanted Jones. We get Jones.
We know Kraft liked Zappe over Hoyer. We don’t know about Jones. I’m not buying the narrative that Monday’s debacle was hatched by Fat Matt and/or Jarhead Joe. Bill was complicit in it. Either Bill changed his mind or Bob intervened. Watching it go down, I believe ownership stepped in. It might not be Brady, but a starting QB is about as important as any decision a football team makes. It’s the Krafts team not Bills. They’re the ones responsible for how many people come into the stadium and spend their money this year, next year and 10 years from now.Kraft seems to really like Zappe. I doubt he's moving the needle at all in terms of personnel decisions. This isn't Tom freakin' Brady we're talking about.

Did the game day thread start early?i have a feeling we are going to get pounded by the Jets...making this season even more unbearable
I think Phil Perry read into it too much. Bill confirmed Mac is healthy, got the full practice reps and is the starter. They then asked if Mac is going to be the starter going forward and Bill said he doesn't do hypotheticals. Media turned it into "Mac has to continue to earn his role."I find this rather interesting. Do they just think Mac needs to perform better, or does this go deeper than that?
I think it's performance related, I'm sure continuing to commit turnovers would obviously spark a potential change. He did emphasize the fact that a full workload is necessary and seemed to understand that the split reps may have been an issue.I find this rather interesting. Do they just think Mac needs to perform better, or does this go deeper than that?
Thanks, I really hate when they read into the quote and then their own analysis of the quote somehow becomes the quote itself.I think Phil Perry read into it too much.
