It will be played after the Bills / Pat's game is what has been announced. That means the #1seed could still be up for grabs. Now had Cinci beat the Bills last night, and KC defeats the Raiders next Saturday, the #1 seed for the Bills would not have been in play when we meet them. Now it still will be. That was my point.

yeah they've announced nothing other than that last night's game won't be resumed this week......they've announced nothing else

and there's still talk the bills would consider forfeiting this sunday, and possibly both games.....obviously lots of variables in play on this one

He just has an amazing way of putting incredible game plans together to take away the opponents strengths. Just a master at it, and what makes yesterday so impressive is he was doing it with corner's that just came off the practice squad.

Our defense will be something special next season!!!!!!!!
Absolutely agree , We have a practice squad offense and Sunday the practice squad CB group showed up! Thoughts and prayers to the Hamlin family!

Still thinking about the Mo Lewis hit on Drew. No CPR and not quite the same impact but the hit was kind of similar and that could have just as easily been a tragedy…
The hit on Drew was 10x harder. Yesterday's was all about bad timing.

Pats can win if there’s a natural disaster, major players are out with injury, they decide to sit or the Bills players forget there’s a game on Sunday.
Be careful what you wish for.

why are we being negative here? We can't help it who we're playing against. We have no control over that. Let's take that negativity out of this thread please. This is a warning.

That era of NFL was much different then.. not as much social media coverage, minimal awareness on just how brutal the NFL is on the players.. the movie on concussions shed a bright light on all the NFLs cover ups.. So when we see things like last night all we can do is pray for the young man to regain his life never mind football.. Goodell is still getting his 50 million salary regardless..

You’re a smart cookie. In a former life I was a seventh-grade English teacher. I spend half the year on there/they’re/their and it’s/its among other troublesome words. English is crazy. Like a gray squirrel on crack.
I'm correcting my 5 year old with the explanation that people who came up with the rules for English are messed up. Taked? Eated? Goed? Catched? Why the f not if people say poop like "give it to my brother and I" all the time.

Sure. Brady throws tantrums. Steve Young threw tantrums. Peyton threw tantrums. Terry Bradshaw threw tantrums. In a perfect world I would prefer Mac be somewhat stoic and workmanlike on the field and every now and then show some fire but when you step back and think about it who cares? As long as he isn't throwing teammates or coaches under the bus and pointing fingers its irrelevant how he behaves just as it was irrelevant how Tom chewed out BOB, Josh, WRs and throws Surface tablets. It doesn't matter and this whole, "He hasn't earned the right to throw tantrums and should focus on playing football.", is crazy. WTF do people think he is doing now?
If Mac were stoic and workmanlike, then people would give him poop like they did to JD Drew.

I think my posts are self-explanatory. He's got at least one big game ahead of him this season. We'll see what happens. But I think it's premature for victory laps when a quarterback is below 3000 & 15 and sub .500.

Where do you get this weirdness about victory laps? And how are those stats significant to anything I posted? You're pressing a case (or agenda) that seems overly invested in wagging a finger at the Patriots quarterback, which seems odd for an alleged fan. But then you've got some pretty queer company here in that respect. And in case you're tempted to "go there," I am under no delusions that Mac Jones has been great or will be going forward. I simply want him to do well, unlike the anti-Mac circle jerkers with whom you apparently claim allegiance.

I do.

You can have Koko B. Ware.
Is this where I demonstrate my old school WWF nerdery and state that the bird buster was a flat out vicious finisher, so much so that they banned it not long after he started using it?

Yup. It's a tough situation. I think by rule the team would have to agree to the forfeit, the commissioner can't just do that unilaterally except in an emergency situation like a team refusing to take the field or blatantly cheating somehow. I'd think the Bills would be the team most impacted and unable to play- and they were losing anyway so it would probably be them.

There can't be a tie and there's no such thing as a double forfeit by rule. They'll probably just cancel it outright or play on.
There isn't anything in the rules that I could see against agreeing to a tie. Heck, the 2 male high jumpers in the last Olympics agreed to a tie, and I thought it was awesome. Frankly seeing them continue would've sucked, imho anyway. A fair number of people understandably didn't think so. If the teams really think that this whole situation is more important than the game, then it really shouldn't matter.

Yep. I have 3 daughters. All played very competitive club soccer. All 3 have had concussions.

My daughters are 30 and 34 and both played competitive soccer in central ma. Any overlap?
