I'm sensing a trend here.

(1) Doesn't it make sense that teams are going to lose more often to good QBs and win more often against bad QBs?
(2) Did you do this exercise for other mediocre (~8-9 win teams) teams in the league and see how it went for them too, or just the Pats?

Because if they can eliminate the Pats w/ a strong D and face MIA w/ a weak D and a 3rd string QB it's a win-win for them.

they lost to the dolfins in MIA and beat them by 3 in BUF...bridgewater will be available for WC weekend. they beat the pats by 14 in foxboro. if they can beat the pats in week 18 they should feel confident beating them WC. i dont think we're in same class as BUF....

your case laid out is exert an extra week of starter energy and game planning so they get MIA - a team they've struggled against this year? rather than just play us in WC and get extra rest?

Should have won the raiders or bengals game. I give them less than 5% chance to win this one. The bills are just on another level than us. Maybe Josh can turn the ball over 5 times and we can make it a game tho.

Going to need the punter to actually punt the ball further than he has been. Another poor performance yesterday.
Going to need to get KB involved early and often. He had a great half versus the Raiders then didn't see the field too much yesterday. Mind numbing.
How about a statement game from Mac? No tantrums, no dirty hits, no missing open receivers and not taking sacks to push them out if FG range??

I don't think the Bills will be resting their starters.

Let me be more optimistic and state that the offense plays a game where we don't need a punter. Give it back to buffalo what they did to us the last year .

We have nothing to lose . Yes. It's a pipe dream. If Minnesota miracle happened why not the Patriot ambush in Buffalo next week.

Folks. We got lucky . We are playing post season one week early and have an extra game to sharpen our knives .

Looks like Mac will get to play his first game in Buffalo with decent football weather. Looks like seasonal temps and little wind. No deep freeze or crazy wind in the forecast. I don’t think Mac is a cold weather guy like Brady was.

Bridgewater has a broken finger is my understanding. I don't see how he plays. That 3rd stringer shouldn't be a challenge.

You make some valid points. But letting Pats win in Wk 18 to then beat them in WC is like tempting the football gods to strike you down. These players are supersticious. Lol

I don't disagree with you Sam, I just wonder with their O-line, if that's something that's possible. RT is a major weak link now and Brown has been disappointing at LT.....

Absolutely true Ashley. Would require stepped up O line performance. May not be feasible. Element of surprise could help. Bills likely expecting heavy dose of running game
